Loved the food and atmosphere. Great place. The staff were very friendly and the service was fantastic
After having a mediocre experience last time I visited Mount Bistro, I decided to give it another chance. What a mistake that was. We booked, the restaurant was less than half full and our mains took 55 minutes to arrive (we didn't order entrees). We weren't advised of a potential wait (would've gone elsewhere) and when our meals finally arrived,... More
I have never placed a review before but after tonight's dinner I could not help myself. The staff where the best wait staff I have ever come across and know how and when to use what kind of humour...made for a very fun evening. Waiter didn't need to wright anything down when we ordered (we ordered drinks, starter, entrees, and... More
What a fantastic night we had mount bistro! Our waiter couldn't have been better, trying to convince my friend who was driving to have fejoia vodka instead of fejoia juice (it was like he knew us right from the get go) cocktail list was traditional and made awesomely. Entree of blue cheese mousse was divine and even my friend who... More
We visited Mt Bistro last week, it was our third visit. This place is so over rated. The decor is dated and the food pretentious and expensive. There didn't used to be that many good restaurants at the mount and mt bistro WAS one of the better ones but it's done its dash and had been out classed by places... More
We were very well looked after by the staff given a busy New Years Eve night. Food was good though needed more flavour to justify the cost. Overall a nice night, and credit to the wait staff for their friendliness and excellent service.
I had never been here before, but it had been highly recommended. It sure did live to expectations. Everything about the evening was fantastic. We went with another cole, and we celebrated our 60th birthdays. Bought several bottles of wine. Had amazing food. Started with flaming sword and saucery. Chef arrived at our table and lit it and it was... More
I think part of the magic of this place is that it is owner operated. The chef owns the restaurant and therefore has a vested interest in maintaining the excellence we have come to expect here. We don't eat here all the time as it isn't cheap but it isn't extortionately expensive either and is always my first choice for... More
I took a group of 25 for dinner on Saturday night, for a special birthday. Right from the welcome, to the service and outstanding food, it was one of the best night's I have had. Everyone found the food outstanding. The service was professional and wonderful. We all walked out raving about the place. Many in the group had not... More
Food was exceptional: creative, fresh, delicious, locally sourced, and beautifully presented. Sat outside in their covered veranda. Good spot for quiet, intimate dinners or a special occasion. Great wine list. Chef circulated through the tables later in the evening to chat with diners which was very nice. I've never had a better meal in the Mount.
