Such cool mosaics in the garden. Lunch was probably the right size. Fairly typical fare. The setting is what makes this place special. Bit off the beaten track but if you have time worth visiting.

I have been to this Cafe several times and thought it about time I wrote a review on it....Every time I have been impressed by the service and standard of food and coffee. I recently had the Garlicy Mushrooms with Chorizo which was delicious and my friend had the Sweet Corn fritter stack which had been freshly cooked (not pre-cooked... More

I have been here a few times, and each time has had lovely food, and the atmosphere was great. One time, there was an entertainer singing in the garden, and children dancing around. It's a nice place to meet up with friends, and chat, eat and then enjoy the surrounds, and the art, which is made on-site. The mosaicking around... More

The art is slightly higher than average. The food is moderately lower than average. The conclusion is "not worth to visit if it is not on your way to somewhere else that you need to go"

We were a large family group of 12 aged from 5 to 75 and we have been to cafe L'arte several times. We keep coming back because of the lovely grounds and the combination of great food and coffee as well as funky art works. The adults can linger over lunch and the kids love to run freely around the... More

While it is a bit off the beaten track, and not well signposted, Cafe A'rte is definitely worth a visit. We had been before, and were keen to return. Coffee was disappointingly tasteless this time, but the chai latte was great quality, and the pumpkin and kumara soup was absolutely delicious - highly seasoned and wonderful! Take a little time...
