Visited Master of India on our recent visit to Taupo after reading reviews on tripadvisor. What and experience! The owners are friendly, the service impeccable and the food - yum. We ordered 2 Veg mains (paneer and dal makahni) and 2 non veg mains (chicken curry and lamb biryani) alongwith naan bread and lassi (smoothie) to share between 2 adults...

On reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, myself, my son and daughter in law decided to try Master of India for lunch. I had been before having the small lunch special(which was nice), but my son being a chef wanted to go the hole hog and try one of the banquets. He also wanted an 'Indian hot' dish which I have...

We were only in Taupo for one night and arrived quite late so we weren't expecting much from wherever we could find for dinner. We ended up in the Master of India as we walked by and there were lots of people in the restaurant so we thought it must be ok. It's quite a big place and we didn't...

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend. What a beautiful authentic meal. It wasn't expensive and the service was wonderful. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff. The meal wasn't spicy and we were recommended what would be suitable to our needs/tastes. Well worth a visit.
We went to Master of India on the back of the good reviews it has here on Tripadvisor. It was early evening so there weren't many customers in and so the atmosphere was a little lacking (hence my rating for this). Four of us had one of their set "banquet" meals and it was lovely. The food was great, as...

This is a great Indian restaurant. The staff is very friendly with great service. They have lovely Indian decorations to admire while waiting for your food. The menu has many selections and they will make as hot as you like. The food was very good! I definately reccommend this restaurant.
We arrived just before closing but weren't rushed at all, Service was amazing you could tell the restaurant, though in a tourist spot, had a real sense of a community based business. Best indian food I've had in a long while, nothing fancy just good ingredients put together REALLY well! Definately reccommend it as a good place to go if...

After reviewing comments on Trip Advisor decided to try this restaurant. We walked in of the street and noticed that the place was very busy, but we were taken care of very quickly and made to feel welcome. The menu had a good variety. And had the options of kiwi hot or indian hot. I had Indian hot which was...

My first dining experience at Master of India was earlier this year (January). My date and I shared a banquet meal (can not remember which one) and the variety and flavors of each dish were delightful, genuine and very satisfying. The mango kulfi (which is made on the premises) is simply divine - you must try it ! If I...
