The service was very poor. On entry to this restaurant asked if we could have a table for two and was told "just go and find a seat" Was quite a while before we were served, the two waitresses were busy talking behind the bar. Ordered Bluff oysters as opposed to North Island oysters. They were big puffy battered oysters... More

Although we only stayed one night in New Plymouth it happened to be my birthday so we decided to have a really nice meal. We were not disappointed

After 36 hours in the air we decided to eat here. I had the seafood platter and it tasted amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. The 'experienced' waitress was so kind and helpful and my favorite quote of hers was "we don't have a fancy computer that tells you what you can and can't order... More

A little disappointing for a restaurant that specialises in "seafood". Would probably be best described as a good place for fish and chips. We both ordered flounder which was ok but we were not expecting it to be battered! Even the prawns in the starter were cooked in batter.

This is without doubt the best fish n chip place in Taranaki. Frienly helpful staff and owner who knows everything aboug gish and how they cook it. Not fine dining but excellent seafood

This is my go-to place for the best seafood dinners in New Plymouth - especially the flounder and the whitebait fritters. The meals are generous in size and the chefs know how to get the most out of their fresh ingredients, and the prices are reasonable. There is heaps of on-street parking nearby. If you're driving to Marinovich's be aware... More

We had grilled, beer battered fish and chips and oysters. Very friendly staff who seemed to be owners since they were very spontaneous suggesting two different type of fish so that we could try them (since each serving has 2 pieces). So different from the self-conscious waitress at Gusto. In our 7 day stay and 5 meals of fish and... More
