Visited over the Christmas break, hadn't made a reservation, but we were cheerfully show to our table. Delicious seafood, loved the white bait fritter and love their salad, brings back lots of good memories. Always a pleasure.

I really enjoyed the seafood platter. Very fresh and delicious variety. We also enjoyed the baked flounder. Nothing spicy....just honest seafood done without fanfare. I was also pleased that they were open on a Monday.....since many restaurants are closed then.

Visited for lunch this week to try something new. We've tried a few seafood places around Taranaki and been a little disappointed with the food we received. However my father's always raved about the seafood at Marinovich's so we thought we'd stop by for lunch with our toddler. The restaurant was nice and clean and relatively quiet. The lunch menu... The service was very poor. On entry to this restaurant asked if we could have a table for two and was told "just go and find a seat" Was quite a while before we were served, the two waitresses were busy talking behind the bar. Ordered Bluff oysters as opposed to North Island oysters. They were big puffy battered oysters... More

After 36 hours in the air we decided to eat here. I had the seafood platter and it tasted amazing. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. The 'experienced' waitress was so kind and helpful and my favorite quote of hers was "we don't have a fancy computer that tells you what you can and can't order... More
