Lovely food BUT...

Could not believe my ears the way the man was speaking to his staff - barking orders at them continuously the whole time we were there without ever saying please or thank you - and not in a quiet voice either. The staff seemed to accept it as normal but to us sitting there it was inappropriate and... read more

So it is not the first time that my friends choose to go there on a Sunday. It is a great spot with a nice balcony. But that is pretty much all.. the cafe has generally a very strong smell of cumin, the coffee has a burnt taste and the guy who was serving us today was unfriendly/seemed disinterested.

It took 80 minutes for our 5 coffees to arrive. 70 minutes for the breakfast. Such a shame. Keeps serving the coffee drinkers off the street and making those who have ordered food wait. System needs a revamp, not returning.

We went in on Americana weekend the owner/workers were very flustered (should have had more staff on) I was unhappy with my meal so told them only for the male behind the counter to get very confrontational with me I am 5 months pregnant so slightly emotional, he ended up making me cry so me and my partner walked out... Ate here with a friend, view is lovely and coffee good however I ordered corn fritters expecting them to be freshly made instead to be surprised with the one that was on display, the fritter itself didn't contain much corn or flavour at all, instead it was doughy and dense! Ergh and it was topped off with some old microwaved bacon... More

The venue is interesting, overlooking the river. The food is always good, and a reasonable price. Service is friendly and efficient.

Had our lunch here while our car was on display. Food and hot drinks were nice but quite slow in coming. I realise that the town was busy, but it would have been of no surprise to them. Maybe another staff member or two could have helped the situation. Pleasant surroundings. It was lovely and clean as was their toilet... More

I had Lunch with my friend on Sunday and the food was very nice but there is a very strange smell in the café which I find every time I go there and the toilets were not very clean, my friend turned around and walked back out of them!

A second visit this month did nothing to our first impression of this inner-city café. The venue is great, with indoor and outdoor seating, all with a view of a small stream and lots of concrete. There is an all-day menu with basic selections (BLAT, breakfasts, etc). Additional printed selections include 'savoury mince on toast" and the soup of the... More

We tend to go here of an afternoon as many of the cafés in NP tend to be winding down after 2pm. The problem with this place as mentioned by another reviewer is the service. We have had excellent service the last couple of times but also shockingly poor service. On one specific occasion, some of our food was served... More
