Good beer, tasty food and friendly service in a warm, relaxing atmosphere. Exactly what you look for in a pub. Drop in and kick back with a pint or two and take a load off.

OK so here is the bottom line. This is a simple place with pleasant servers where you can take a break, relax & enjoy good food & drink. Nice selection of draught beers, good enough wines, a very good lamb burger and excellent sea food chowder. Nothing fancy just relaxing - at least for lunch.

Built inside an old police station this fun little pub in the center of town offers a good place to sit down and watch a game or sit outside and enjoy any live entertainment. Good fish and chips and a decent burger always go well with draught beer.

Our food from here was good, and the place is itself is a nice but fairly average pub. The staff was friendly. The portions were huge. The night we visited, they didn't have live music but it would be nice to go back when there was live music.

Lacked atmosphere but thought it would be good for dinner. Don't know whether I made a poor choice but the chicken Caesar salad was lacking in everything but quantity. Portions here are large even for New Zealand!

Went to the Pig & Wistle for a beer on a Saturday evening and had a really good night. Decided to stay for dinner and really enjoyed my Haloumi Salad. My friends had the Steak and Guiness pie and the lamb burger and both said the food tasted great. All the portions were huge too, making it good value for... More

We just went for drinks, it seemed to be lacking in that pub type atmosphere . The staff were helpful and friendly

We went on a Tuesday night early so it was pretty quiet. Food servings were huge (we had the fish&chips and the pork belly and couldn't finish it). The food was good and more than we expected. Drinks were a little pricey but seemed to be the norm for Rotorua.

Went to this place as recommended by motel owner. Venue is really cool! Meals were good apart from the ribs. Chewy and hard to bite off bone staff were great to give money back. Chicken burger was good!
