Great selection of Tap Beers

Came here for a feed after a long day at work. They have a great selection of tap beers... I went for a pint of Mac's Pale Ale which worked a treat. The atmosphere is great and there was a cool live blues musician playing. For dinner I had the steak sandwich. This was recommended to me from a... read more

I didn't think all that much of this place. I went on a Friday night. There was a cover charge of $4 and drinks were pricey. There was some live music which is ok, not my thing but there you go. Personally I prefer a bar where I can have a conversation.

Me and my boyfriend had decided to pick this pub as we had seen it was recommended in a leaflet we had taken from our hotel. When we arrived at the pub it appeared busy but we thought we would give it a shot anyway. We were seen by a passing waiter and were quickly pointed to a table for... More

We ate dinner at the Pig and Whistle recently while staying in Rotorua. They had a great selection of beer, and the food was delicious and came out quickly too. Great atmosphere as well.

I was excited about eating here tonight as I'd read about the big portions. I have to say the portions were big but the food wasn't that amazing. I had the ribs, which were advertised as fall off the bone but they were actually like crisps. They were pretty overdone unfortunately. My wife had the fish and chips, which was... More

We went back three consecutive nights and each time we found the food and service excellent. Staff were very pleasant and quick to serve customers and on each night consistently 'on the ball'. The food servings are big, we ordered half size fish-n-chips and were pleased we hadn't ordered the larger size. We found the food excellently cooked, great pub... More

Dish are huge here. But you have to order from the bar first, and they will bring your drinks and food. We ordered two beer, lamb salad and the pork rib. Beer is a must for here, special fruit taste. The pork is good, just the portion is too big, we only finished half.
