Enjoyable lunch

Very pleasant sitting outside on a lovely day. Food was good and the service very helpful and attentive. Our only complaint was that the children's menu had very limited vegetarian options for our grandson (who is a very strict vegetarian) and we had to order from the adult menu.

Came for breakfast, had to ask if our order could be taken. We had vanilla rissotto and a tomato/chorizo dish. Nice presentation but service was too slow - also had to wait about 15-20 minutes for our coffees to come at the end of the meal!!

Food is good, service good, quiet surrounding, easy parking nearby. My favourite - the Boston Baked Beans needs some work though - leave the chorizo out, Boston baked beans - pork, pinto beans and molasses and seasoning - cooked for couple of hours

We arrived at 3.30, after paying for parking, we knew the place closed at 4.30, so that would give us an hour. We had read how family-friendly this place was and wanted to try it for ourselves. I walked in the door and not 1 but 3 of the staff members looked me up and down like I was worthless,... More

I love coming to cafes where staff make that extra effort to make you welcome. Lime has some great staff and the food and coffee was excellent on our visit to Rotorua. There is a nice outdoor area, lots of magazines to read and the toilets are spotless (often where cafes let themselves down I have found). We were both... More

My wife and I are locals to Rotorua and as such have eaten at Lime numerous times, so this review is not based on a single visit. I have to say after our last visit, we won't be visiting again. We have found one consistant let down every time we have visited Lime, the service or lack there of. There... More

We went to Lime for brunch with our two boys, ages 4 and 7. We all loved the food. They had kid brunch menus and catered to their kid-type requests like no bananas on mine and extra maple syrup on mine. Prices were similar to other places but this place was actually worth it for the high quality of food... More

Great cafe - went here for brunch on Easter Monday so you can imagine how busy it was! Managed to get a table and it took a while before we were given menus and our order taken but the staff seemed to be run off their feet. Food came out quickly with coffee soon after, however there were other people... More

This is a really nicely located and decorated cafe in a good central location away from the hustle and bustle. The coffee was nice and strong but not memorable. The lemon custard muffin looked much better than in tasted. A bit dry. Service was good and friendly though.

Great food, generous portions, quality ingredients friendly staff , there are a couple of buts , what's is with the doors open on a freezing morning, this is common sense surely? Buy a thermometer and do some research about recommended temperatures , personally I found the eggs I had overcooked this Seems to be a trend in nz ,maybe this is... More
