Keeping up with their prior success, Capers has been named, once again, Cafe of the Year 2011. Come in and try our winning formula of great food and superior staff.

Stopped here for a late lunch during our day in Rotorua. Loved the food and the staff was great. Lots to choose from like gourmet sandwiches and heartier meals. Bakery had a delicious looking section and the coffee bar was nice too.

I'm a local but I just love taking visitors to Capers at any time of the day or night. Food is excellent - best in Rotorua; staff are amazingly friendly while being great workers, and the experience is something not to be missed. The night time dining experience is something you won't get anywhere else - top place. My visitors... More

Simply this is one of the nicest restaurant we been too and probably best in Rotorua. We liked it so much that we eaten there 3 times during our six stay. Food menu had a hint of familiarity and adventure. Food came out on time and waiting staff were great.

We had been here previously but not for dinner. We were very happy with our meals and had a child with us so appreciated that they had a kids menu. What really stood out was the service from our waitress Tammy. Unfortunately customer service in NZ can often be average but she was excellent.

Came upon the place on a Sunday morning. The place was quite full. We walked up to the counter and had to wait several minutes for a staff member to take our order so we could go and sit down. We ordered two cappuccinos and eggs Benedict and French toasts. Normal wait times for cappuccinos but then waited after 30... More

We enjoyed an evening meal here after our host recommended it for coffee. Shared a chicken platter and a mixed salad between us which was huge , garlic bread loaf too. The whole meal was lovely especially the salads which were great choice and different flavours. Good value for money and excellent service, Puddings looked lovely but we were full.

We were a group of 10 who all arrived at various times on a Sunday morning and the staff were incredibly accommodating. This was by far our best dining experience during our weekend in Rotorua; it's a great place for brunch with plenty of choices. You have to get up to go to the counter and the staff are busy... More

One of the best cafes I have had the pleasure of visiting. Sensational coffee, amazing food, great vibe and the sharpest service I've ever experienced in a cafe. I'd recommend Capers to anyone!!

Went here on the basis of Tripadvisor reviews and that it opens a 7AM for breakfast. Don’t think that I could of made a better choice – coffee was superb and my bircher muesli serving was huge!! Nice selection of fresh fruits with yoghurt and presented very nicely. Food cabinet looked great so will have to try it out for... More

fabulous atmosphere & staff but the best was the children's platter! The choice presented was amazing & our grandsons [4 & 2 years] loved it all from the ham sandwich, string fries & nugget, fairy bread, fresh sliced fruit, jelly & eskimo & juice box. Great value & thank you. We'll be back!
