Busy Take Away place.

We had 3 different dishes and every one was great from Chinese to English dishes The pork crackling soup was so filing that only ate half of it. the only complaint was the chips were cold. but it was a cold night and they were in a bag not wrapped

After having a terrible experience in Polynesian Spa hot spring, Oppie's delicious fish & chip & bluff oysters made our night happier! :) The oysters were simply awesome! We were served with happy kiwi smiles again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for great fish & chips & Bluff oysters (Apr-Jul in season)!!!

Every time we are in Rotorua, we usually order fish and chips at Oppies. Their fish are so fresh. Kumara chips tastes so good. They have other viands as well. The Oyster egg foo yong is the best!

What can you say really nice fish and chips. Great price. Could do with more inside seating for when it is too cold outside. Great price though. Well worth a stop for lunch or dinner.

We went there for dinner. We ordered a snack box with 6 oysters with chips and seafood sauce (half pacific oysters and half bluff oysters - extra charge), 8 prawns battered, kumera chips, 1 hoki and 1 tarakihi. Waited for about 10 minutes, and we brought back to Hotel to eat. Chips were really good, not greasy and quite crunchy.... More

We were recommended to this place by relatives who happened to be in the area as well. Thought it was odd as an award winning Chinese fish n chips place! But fantastic value and food was excellent! Wife especially loved the chips.

This place has awesome rave reviews so we were excited to try it queens birthday weekend. Being a holiday weekend it was very busy so we were prepared for a wait. When noticing many people who ordered after us were getting their orders and leaving my husband approached the counter and asked for our order. The girl asked for our... More

So we were staying just down the road and it rained all the time so Oppies was a stop for two meals on separate nights. Fish n chips were above average but not near the best ever. Reasonable price. Chinese fare another night was below average - somewhat expensive and was bland and boring. Hot and spicy satay was not.... More

Always friendly service and great food. Fish always tastes fresh and food has lots of flavour. They are always really busy when I go in and for a good reason, will definitely continue going here for my fish & chips!
