We stopped here for breakfast on our last day in Rotorua after reading reviews. We arrived as it opened and had a nice table by the window. A nice contemporary feel to the place. A great choice of breakfast dishes on the menu. I went with the French Toast which was really tasty, together with some fresh tea. Service was... More

We went to this restaurant with friends who are local to the Rotorua area, and what a great choice it was. The service was friendly and efficient. The wait time from ordering, to our meals arriving was perfect. I was impressed with my meal, it was a good size and the flavours all married well, from the port loin to... More

We had great breakfast dishes here - my eggs and bacon with a side salad were very tasty - great grainy seedy toast - my husband had the Urbano Hobo a compilation of potatoes, mushrooms, onion, chorizo, poached eggs and other stuff piled high and delicious! Great coffees, too - totally hit the mark on what we needed to get... More

Have enjoyed both lunch (tasty duck salad) and dinner (lamb) and would recommend highly. Away from bustle of town, and stylish ambiance.

This cool little cafe sits on the main road into Rotorua on the left. You can't miss it, with it's black painted building. You can choose to sit in or out and watch the world go by, while you peruse the paper and sip your coffee. Which, by the way, is delicious! On offer is a range of tempting snacks... More

I was a bit concerned with the couple of bad reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. Yes it is a bit upscale, but the food is worth it. I ordered the Scotch filet, the steak was cooked perfectly. The fries are great, the breaded egg was a welcome surprise. My husband got the fish special and he thought it was very... More

While Mrs R was in town getting her eye brows done, daughter and I went to Urbano for lunch. Excellent experience. Caprese salad with basil sorbet! And a blueberry and almond dessert. Very good service. Very relaxed atmosphere. We've been here several times and recommend Urbano!

Urbana has great staff and amazing food. Probably a bit more on the expensive side but it worth it for the great food.

Very charming place with good service. The food was very tasty and well presented. We've ordered pasta and gourmet hamburger, both were delicious. To drink we had a tropical smoothie, it also tasted good, but perhaps too heavy with lunch. They have many tables, inside and outside.

So we rocked up to this little bistro which was advertised in our hotel and they ignored us, we stood looking at the menu, nobody approached us to sit down. Nobody said hi. It was quite busy, but after 5 mins we walked out. :(
