Had a very enjoyable evening at 35 Degree South. It is situated right on the waters edge with great views over the bay. There is a large circular fish tank in the middle which was cool. I went for the steak and it was fantastic. The servers were all fun, but at the same time very professional. Would love to... More

Went there twice in two days for dinner, and also a breakfast. Fabulous ambience and views, or a huge fish tank option. Menu included several great seafood options and good lamb and beef dishes. Friendly service. Good atmosphere.

Wonderful view from our table. Loved the huge fish tank in the centre of room. Great food and service.

The first visit in the morning for a coffee was great so we booked a table for dinner. Food was fine but service was not what we expect. No-one was interested in our dining experience when we paid the bill and as there was a surcharge, this was an expensive night out. Would not go back. Have the feeling that... More

The food and service were both great and we happily watched from our window seat as day became night over the Bay of Islands

Mixed emotions about tonight's event. There wasnt good service to begin with, and the menu was set out very poorly, making it hard to read. The meal it's self was decent, but the service was only average. Became better near the end, although it may have been to late. The end bill was shockingly high also. Wouldn't go back.

The 35 Degree South Aquarium Restuarant and Bar are situated right on the waterfront and wharfe. We stoppped for chips and a beer at the bar, but looking at the food going past to the tables it all looked good. Walked past another evening and there was live enterainment and we stopped for a bit and took in the fantastic... More

Picturesque location overlooking the bay and jetty off the main street in Paihia. Fantastic singer Haylee Nichola was performing while we sat at the bar stool tables watching the fire inside, and then from the tables outside. She sang covers and then originals with a clear magical voice, just a pleasure to listen to whilst having a drink and watching... More

We were advised to book , we were given a table by the window which jutted out into the sea, fabulous views and fabulous food,I had the swordfish which was amazing. The staff were very pleasant and did not rush you even though the place was busy for early evening. I would return to this restaurant and would recommend it.
