Special Occassion 2015 Christmas Lunch

Out of towners visiting family. Amazing location, amazing inside & outside friendly staff (nice to meet Anna), the atmosphere had a Christmas feeling. The garlic prawns went down a treat, the dessert was our favourite. We throughly enjoyed our meal & would do it all again

This is an amazing venue to hold a wedding. The grounds are park like with gorgeous garden setting. The food was fabulous and the service from staff was A+++.

These experiences are mine and also another couple who visited the week before for lunch. Both parties believed that the meals should have been served with stunning vegetables or a salad. Salad as an extra is not really good enough. The steaks were not cooked to specifications. However, it is a fabulous place with beautiful gardens to experience and with... More

We decided to go to Ormlie lodge for high tea and were very happy with everything. The service was efficient and high tea delicious. The coffees were also excellent and the setting was stunning outside on the deck.

We had friends from down south for the weekend, so wanted to show off Hawkes' Bay at a lovely venue. We decided on Ormlie Lodge, as the $26 2 course lunch menu looked great. We weren't disappointed by the setting, sat outside with shade available for those who wanted it. The lawn and gardens are lovely. The table was wobbly!)... More

Recently went with a group of business associates for lunch and we were all most impressed. A super menu, the meals were most attractively served and heartily enjoyed. Excellent value and I must comment on the staff who were so obliging and very pleasant. Clearly since ownership of this property has changed, there has been an enormous amount of work... More

We booked in for a High Tea on a cold, wet and windy day. $30 per person. What a treat we were in for. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were shown into the Lounge bar while our table was being set up. This place took us back into the 1920s and made us wish we... More

Went for a Sunday lunch, haven't been for a while as last experience 2 years ago was not good. Interesting lunch menu, great prices, beautiful surrounds even in Winter. Fantastic waiter, knew his stuff, unobtrusive and a sense of humour! House was busy and when we left the drive was bumper to bumper with patrons for the jazz afternoon. \... More

Ormile Lodge is incredibly beautiful; Stunning gardens, Beautiful interiors -impressive art, furniture and staircase. Immediately impressed. We came here for dinner after previous visiting to view the menu and make the reservation. After awkwardly seating ourselves (The host told us we can go through to the dinning room then just left us to find our table ourselves) the waiter told... More
