Don't be put off by the fact it's a hotel restaurant

I really haven't tried their mains but I love ordering their breads which comes with dips. I have also tried their calamari/salt n pepper which was cooked very well. Staff are always friendly and accommodating.

Went for dinner, and was very pleased that i did. I had the vegetarian dish which was tasty, and of a decent quantity, for pudding i had a orange icecream pavlova dish which was melt in your mouth. The service was exceptional, I arrived at 6pm without a reservation and was promptly seated with a great smile, food came out... More

We were very tired when we arrived at the hotel, 6 and a half hours driving so thought it easier to eat at the Te Panias restaurant. That was a very good move, as both dishes of stuffed belly pork and the above mentioned lamb were absolutely delicious, the different flavoured acompliments and sauces worked so very well.Only niggle was... Breakfast was good, so that evening we booked for Dinner, which was also excellent. Staff were helpful and attentive. The only issue was the W.Indies cricket team were at breakfast Sunday the same time as us and the service was slow as the dining room was so busy. This we understand, however the food was inferior to Saturdays breakfast, shame... More

The brasserie is part of the Te Pania Hotel complex. We had several breakfasts and an an evening meal while staying at the hotel. The food was excellent, and service was good. Recommended.

We dined at the brasserie on two nights - both times the food was well presented, great flavour combinations, well thought-out menu offering a great selection to choose from. The staff were friendly, great service, relaxing atmosphere and its in a great location on Marine Parade.

We dined in this restaurant one night and breakfasted two mornings whilst staying at the main hotel, Scenic Hotel Te Pania onMarine Parade, the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. What more can you ask of a restaurant.

This restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Scenic Hotel Te Pania on Marine Parade opposite the Ocean Spa. Everything about this restaurant is top class from the location and crisp white linen tablecloths to the service and food. I ordered the pork which melted in my mouth, the children had the chicken tenders which were tasty and... More

Travelling from Taupo on Xmas Day, we booked dinner here. It was a buffet style with soup, prawns, oysters, mussels, many types of salads, cold meats, roast turkey, ham, lamb and vegetables. Dessert was many types of small cakes, puddings & fruit. Excellent assortment of food to suit all. Complimentary champagne on arrival was a nice touch.
