The brasserie is part of the Te Pania Hotel complex. We had several breakfasts and an an evening meal while staying at the hotel. The food was excellent, and service was good. Recommended.

We dined at the brasserie on two nights - both times the food was well presented, great flavour combinations, well thought-out menu offering a great selection to choose from. The staff were friendly, great service, relaxing atmosphere and its in a great location on Marine Parade.

We dined in this restaurant one night and breakfasted two mornings whilst staying at the main hotel, Scenic Hotel Te Pania onMarine Parade, the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. What more can you ask of a restaurant.

This restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Scenic Hotel Te Pania on Marine Parade opposite the Ocean Spa. Everything about this restaurant is top class from the location and crisp white linen tablecloths to the service and food. I ordered the pork which melted in my mouth, the children had the chicken tenders which were tasty and... More

Travelling from Taupo on Xmas Day, we booked dinner here. It was a buffet style with soup, prawns, oysters, mussels, many types of salads, cold meats, roast turkey, ham, lamb and vegetables. Dessert was many types of small cakes, puddings & fruit. Excellent assortment of food to suit all. Complimentary champagne on arrival was a nice touch.

The team at The Exchange helped us out of a very tight spot by hosting a family breakfast for a large group at very short notice. The food was outstanding, as was the customer service. Their helpfulness and excellent food made a very positive impact on everyone in our group and I know many of us will return. This is... More

Have dined at numbers of 'rated' restaurants in the Napier/Hastings area and been pleasantly delighted at many of them. So how did the this restaurant slip by us in the past?. Tonight we encountered wonderful service that set us at ease on entry to the restaurant..as did the pleasant ambience of the restaurants music and table seating. Professional service, with... More

OK so here is the bottom line. We did not feel like walking out for dinner so we ate in at the hotel. To our very pleasant surprise, the food was very good. The tomato soup and snapper were evening specials on the menu. Both were quite good as was the tempura shrimp starter. Whether the service was good or... More
