After a fairly busy day, it was nearly 8pm before we felt like dinner, and we hoped to get some good Chinese. We cruised around town until we saw the China Light, which we thought looked OK. The very pleasant waitress found us a table for two with no trouble, and we settled into what was to be a very... More

Located slightly out of the CBD but definitely worth a visit. Great ambience - Super menu and the servings are very generous. I ordered Vegetables in Black Bean Sauce with steamed white rice. More than I could eat. Other meals on the table were equally generous and very tasty. I would happily return.

Craving Chinese one night in Napier we came across China Light. This pokey little Chinese joint didn't look like much but certainly delivered beyond expectation. The service was incredible, our waitress was extremely patient and accommodating. The dishes were huge and the flavour was different to normal Asian cuisine however we both loved it. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting... More

Whilst eating on a Sunday night we found this restaurant was open and the service was maintained by one waiting person very well. Our food was very tasty and the servings of good proportion. However one of the dishes had rather an abundance of green vegetables and when we had finished it looked as if we hadn't really touched the... More

Have never taken any food back before, but our takeaways were inedible. Rancid flavour to chow mein dish, sweet and sour pork so hard and tough, was un chewable and the vegetables basically raw, and nothing tasted nice at all.

In my opinion the worst Chinese I have had in New Zealand. The food had no taste to it, the portions were of good size but there was no flavour, everything was bland. Would not recommend!

This place is ok. The food has a good flavor. Prices for takeaways are cheaper than prices for sit down meals. Portion sizes are good. If you ask for tofu, expect to be laughed at and told that might only be available in Auckland, where there is more demand. That being said, we might try this place again, as the... More

Fancied a chinese meal and this place was recommended. Friendly staff and good service, with some of the biggest portions of food that I saw in New Zealand. Really tasty meal.

The staff were very friendly and the servings are large - be warned. The prices were good and all but one dish was delicious, the other was nice but I expected more - probably more about us than the actual dish.
