What you can expect on the menu at Indigo We are a contemporary fine dining Indian restaurant where all of our dishes are cooked fresh to order. We never compromise on quality and offer a range of traditional and unique dishes, constantly offering our guests new experiences and tastes. Getting the spice right Our Indian hot is truly hot, so we only recommend it if you know you enjoy spice. We offer 3 more levels of spice from New Zealand hot, medium and mild. Please ask us about which dishes suit the spicier styles such as Jalfrezi's and Vindaloos, as some dishes like Korma or Dal Bukhara are best enjoyed milder. The Kitchen We operate a traditional charcoal tandoor that you can be assured gives the best flavour to all our dishes including our selection of naan breads. All dishes are cooked from scratch specifically to your order. The Drinks Menu Indigo offers the largest selection of Hawke's Bay wine in the region and is proud to offer one of the broadest selections of gin, vodka, rum and bourbons. What are you famous for? We pour the largest whiskey selection in New Zealand with over 303 bottles on offer. Whiskey connoisseur and Indigo owner Paul Anderson will happily help you with a recommendation. You can order Indigo for delivery to your accommodation anywhere in Napier. Text 'indigo' to 289 to download our takeaway ordering app. What do only the locals know? Amber Bar opens every Thursday upstairs so you can continue your evening after finishing dinner at Indigo downstairs. This is ideal to continue sampling Hawke's Bay wines or global whiskies in your own time. You may also arrive at the Amber Bar after dining anywhere in Napier from 7pm. Where is Indigo Indigo is situated in the Parker's Chambers Art Deco Building built in 1932 in the heart of Napier. Table seating is ideal for groups, as well as booth seating for groups of 4 - 6. We recommend advance table booking Thursday through Sunday.

A fantastic dining experience

Great staff & service, fantastic authentic indian cuisine, and a great whiskey selection to boot. The chicken tikka & entree is superb. The servings are very generous.

Indigo is my favourite restaurant to bring people to when they're visiting Hawkes Bay. They really set themselves apart from the typical Indian restaurant with their modern, classy, spacious dining area. Their menu is beautifully put together, complete with colourful photos of their dishes, and they offer a wide variety of meals including slightly more unusual choices such as an... More

Felt like some takeaways in our motel room. The online ordering had some bugs but easily rang in our order. The wait was 45mins which was OK for Saturday night. Cost around $50 for two mains and breads which seemed a lot but we had lots of leftovers so turned out to be reasonable! Delicious! Butter chicken and ghosht (?),... More

We are regulars here now. Have not been disappointed on any trip....service good, food great....my favourite? Goat birianyi .... Also love the chicken dhansak and dupiaza ...in fact all the dishes look and smell good as we watch them go by to other tables....the secret...well a good part of it is the quality of meat they invest in and the... Excellent food, although you need to book in advance to secure a table. On a Monday night they were fully booked. Extensive menus, great service, tasty food. Has wide range of wines and whiskeys too. Downside is decor which is good, but not fantastic.

My wife and I dined at Indigo with mixed results. Our Indian dishes were ample, but fairly ordinary, & some perhaps needed more sauce. Service and ambience and value were good.

I have been here multiple times and there will be many more to come. It is the best curry house in the Bay, and being from London initially it would even compare to the good ones over there. The starters are phenomenal. I would even recommend multiple starters and no main courses :oP The main courses are very good too.... More

I enjoyed my meal here very much. One thing that impressed my was the variety of dishes offered, including many that I do not see in standard Indian restaurants. The hardest part was deciding what to order. The food itself was excellent.
