Best fish and chips ever. No Grease!!! Plenty of fish to choose from. Service with a smile. The fish chowder is amazing at on $5-50 a punnet - Lovely and thick - serves 2 bowls - 3 if you add a little milk.

I was told it is popular and best fish n chip in town. Errr I found it is normal fried fish and chips with high tech flour? My thought.

Thanks tripadvisor took your advice and dined in.When we arrived the service was slow but then the owner Mike came out and told us his cook had rung in with a broken arm so they were a bit behind. It was worth the wait as our seafood was cooked beautifully.great value for the dollar. And during the course of the evening... More

My Partner and I were looking for a fish and chips shop that catered to Gluten intolerance while in Napier. Through our search, we came across this little gem of a place. While they do not do a gluten free batter, they will grill the fish to ensure that its gluten free. We ordered some gurnard and the garlic chips,... More

The last time we were here, we raved, so nearly a year later, time to see if its still the best. This time we settled on lunch and had the restaurant to ourselves ( the takeout was busy as) in contrast to last time where we came at night and had to wait for a meal. I ordered the poached... More

This fish and chip shop is the furthest away from where we live in Napier, but we will drive there rather to get the best fish and chips in the bay, every time! The service is always friendly. Because of the amount of people always getting their meal there, it pays to order by phone and come when it's ready... More

My dad and I are staying in Napier for one night and we just had dinner at Westshore cafe/restaurant. It is hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had, would highly recommend. Very comfortable and homely environment, like eating in your own front room. We both had the blue cod and chips and coleslaw. All was delicious!! If... More

We had great fish & chips here. You can choose whether you want a small, regular or large serving of fish - the regular is bigger than the average fish & chip shop serving and the large is enormous. Delicious fish.

We went to Westshore Fish Cafe on 16th March 2014 because our motel owner recommended it and he was absolutely right. The cafe is licensed or byo, food is great, plenty of locals eat there because the owner and his wife are passionate about food and service. Very unpretentious and a little off the beaten track. But go find it... More
