Hawkes Bays oldest Pub still operating on its original site - 1925 when the current building was established. Licenced since 1851!! Westshore Beach Inn has become a firm favourite with locals and tourists alike. We have the most fabulous range of craft bier FRESH from the tap - Founders, Renaissance, Garage Project, Boundary Road, Tuatara, Liberty, Hallertau & locals Brave, Hawkes Bay Independent and favourite Esk Valleys Zeelandt. With International brands brewed only in Barcelona Estrella Damm, Carlsberg & Kingfisher make up nearly 24 FRESH biers on tap at any one time. Fill here - Take there....YES we fill Pots, Growlers, Camels n Riggers!! We have our Bistro with a fabulous lawn area that starts the day with lunch ( from 11.30Am) then continuous through to dinner 7 days a week. The Bistro does a simple fresh food with produce from Napier County and its artisans. ( Grains of Europe, Better Fishing, Village Press Olive Oil & made here pesto with basil from our own garden) Fresh Food NOT fast food from local suppliers is the mantra we operate to. Free range chicken and Verry's free range eggs feature on all menus. Our Fresh Fish is caught DAILY by Karl and Sarah from Better Fishing - It is the most superb flavour and texture - Often only a few hours since being caught. Karl and Sarah fish daily and sustainably. With a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015, a pile of "Hawkes Bay Hospitality" Runner up certificates (6 in total)..... Along with a couple of "Hawkes Bay Signature Dish" Awards our food is establishing a great pedigree. Your here for a good time not a long time!! How cool we were again nominated for the 2014 Hawkes Bay Hospitality Awards "Outstanding Local" for the sixth year running - Well done folks, both paid and paying for making this a special place. Cheers & Beers The Bayliss family

Fab food and service

We thoroughly recommend a visit to this establishment, the food was outstanding, the staff friendly provided top service. The owners were very accomodating and it was evident they enjoy their work. The building is immaculate inside and out as are the chalets. Louise

Came in for lunch today, a great pub with an array of different beers to choose from, they even a traditional hand pump real ale from Nelson. Had the club sandwich and fish n chips along with a few great beers. They even have a kids area and the little ones are very welcome.

Will not return as very rude staff and the food over priced. Seemed like a nice place to eat, but the prices are way over the top. If it was fine dining then I would have no issue with the price, but this is a pub.

Our Rotary Club meets here every Monday night. Nothing is too much trouble and the food is always good. We have seperate dining room separate from the main bars which allows us privacy. There is a good range of beers in the lounge bar and a welcoming feel. On another night I had a steak with pepper sauce, which was... More

We chose the Westshore based on TripAdviser and so glad we did. The restaurant bar has a terrific selection of craft beers which started the evening well. A good menu, although tonight we were told the fish was off the menu as they couldn't get it fresh and refused to do frozen. I like that integrity. Based on reviews only... More

Very friendly, welcoming and personable waitress. Good fresh food at an OK price (we had the fish). Reasonable selection of craft beers if you're into them (which seems unlikely given first impressions). The interior of the place is more sports bar than it is restaurant - tidy but could probably do with a bit of a facelift. Would recommend if... More
