Hawkes Bays oldest Pub still operating on its original site - 1925 when the current building was established. Licenced since 1851!! Westshore Beach Inn has become a firm favourite with locals and tourists alike. We have the most fabulous range of craft bier FRESH from the tap - Founders, Renaissance, Garage Project, Boundary Road, Tuatara, Liberty, Hallertau & locals Brave, Hawkes Bay Independent and favourite Esk Valleys Zeelandt. With International brands brewed only in Barcelona Estrella Damm, Carlsberg & Kingfisher make up nearly 24 FRESH biers on tap at any one time. Fill here - Take there....YES we fill Pots, Growlers, Camels n Riggers!! We have our Bistro with a fabulous lawn area that starts the day with lunch ( from 11.30Am) then continuous through to dinner 7 days a week. The Bistro does a simple fresh food with produce from Napier County and its artisans. ( Grains of Europe, Better Fishing, Village Press Olive Oil & made here pesto with basil from our own garden) Fresh Food NOT fast food from local suppliers is the mantra we operate to. Free range chicken and Verry's free range eggs feature on all menus. Our Fresh Fish is caught DAILY by Karl and Sarah from Better Fishing - It is the most superb flavour and texture - Often only a few hours since being caught. Karl and Sarah fish daily and sustainably. With a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015, a pile of "Hawkes Bay Hospitality" Runner up certificates (6 in total)..... Along with a couple of "Hawkes Bay Signature Dish" Awards our food is establishing a great pedigree. Your here for a good time not a long time!! How cool we were again nominated for the 2014 Hawkes Bay Hospitality Awards "Outstanding Local" for the sixth year running - Well done folks, both paid and paying for making this a special place. Cheers & Beers The Bayliss family

Great pub fare

Had a great night here with 6 other friends. They were quite heavily booked, but managed to fit in our reservation but alerted us to the possible wait. There really wasn't a wait as we were a group of friends wanting to catch up. Good service, pretty wide selection of food. Ribs were great and... read more

This review is about an aspect of this bar that has me going back often. It has the best fresh craft beer selection on offer in Napier. The range is broad and interesting and is in addition to a selection of more mainstream beers. Part of the craft beer scene there is the guest brewery of the month when around... More

On a blustery night ...a bottle of red ...a roast beef and veg and if you could fit it in ...rhubarb crumble ... All things cooked on the premises ....no fish because the weather had prevented the fisherman from catching it ! That's fresh. Lovely service . Yum food

We had such a fantastic meal here during our trip to Napier. Such fresh, tasty food. I had the chicken parmigana. It was the best I've ever had. A thick, juicy chicken breast perfectly cooked and lightly coated. It wasn't hammered out or deep fried like you would normally get in a pub. My aunt and uncle had the fresh... More

We had tea here one night and the food was great, we sat outside in the sun and eat our diner then took our drinks into the couch area and sat and relaxed and enjoyed the lovely ambiance of the bar with low lighting.

Thanks Julie. We really have tried to create some different areas so there is something for everyone. Semi formal dining, casual dining, chilling out on the couches or enjoying the sun outside. No matter what the occasion is, we want everyone to enjoy the space Thanks for your great feedback Cheers Gina Graham General Manager More

Read the reviews on TA and decided as we were staying in a motel a few doors away we'd go for a meal - we weren't disappointed. I had the roast beef and my husband had the recommended fish and both meals were outstanding. My husband enjoyed the selection of local beers and the wine was clearly of good quality.... More
