Interesting place for a drink

It's a nice pub with an English theme which was good for me. As well as Boddingtons and Speights they sell Kilkenny which is always a good beer and which I always drink. We usually sit in the outside area but the interior has a lot of interesting artifacts to look at. The beer is good and the staff... read more

After a hard day shopping we were needing to be refuelled and stumbled across a pub. On entering we realised it was an old english pub with the atmosphere to match. Even though this was a pub we were greeted as we walked in and taken to a table of our choice....lovely service!! Our needs were catered for the whole... More

We had the beef burger and the Yorkshire Pudding with roast beef meals. Both meals were of a generous size, and were so filling we had to leave a few chips! The price was good for the amount of food we got for $18.50 (burger) and $17.95 each. The tap beer and cider were $7.50 for a pint and also... More

The place was deserted. Should have taken this as a sign. Ordered the chicken kebabs for starters, which were nice, but mains were vile. Open steak sandwich was like chewing on old car Tyre and had a strange taste almost like it was off. No steak knives so had to saw at it with a bread knife. In the end... More

We have been here quite a few times and never enjoyed a meal but was told it had improved so went last weekend, I am from Yorkshire and can never understand why they call themselves a British pub but then serve on the same plate Yorkshire pudding, beef trimmings, chips, salad and gravy, who has heard of salad and gravy... tasteless theme pub that unfortunately does resemble many similar poor quality outlets from the UK. Average food and poor selection of beers mean i wont be going again

Popped in without reservation on a Saturday night around 6pm ish give or take. There weren't any big games on at Hamilton stadium and it was relatively quiet and when we arrived, we were spoilt for choice which was kinda nice. We chose to sit on sofas next to the gas fire. There were three of us, myself Myrtle and... More
