This is one of Hamilton's best restaurants for food but they could do a lot more to improve the atmosphere, it's a bit barren inside.

We went for dinner on a Saturday night and the food was amazing in fact the next day we were still talking about it. The service was superb. We had a booking at 6pm and by 6.30pm they were fully booked. Please make sure you try the duck parcel for entrée we were speechless it was so yummy. We wanted... More

I had heard this was one of the best in Hamilton for regional dining but I found there were pluses and minuses. Yes, I agree the food was of high quality for a la carte dining. My husband found his tuna tartare generous in portion and elegantly presented followed by the tender and succulent venison main for which he really... More

We went there at 5.30 on a Friday night and were the first there although it was booked out from later - I remember the building as the Waikato Brewery and has always been a landmark by the bridge - I was curious to see inside and it didn't disappoint - clean, spacious, modern with Thonet and altogether pleasant to... This restaurant is bright and airy with plenty of space between the tables. We like to order several of the small plates for the table to share and they're all popular although my favourite is the anchovy cigar. I just wish you got more than one! A recent favourite was a duck, barberry and wheat salad. A veal ragu on... More

Had a lovely lunch here during the week, found it very quiet which I was surprised about but food was superb and I think very well done, recommended. I agree it could be noisy if it was busy but it wasn't busy when we were there.

The effortless chic interior blends with that of the hip young wait staff who approach their work with skill without taking themselves too seriously. The tone of service was perfect: not overly cloying, asking after ever bite if all is well but timely and efficient. And the food..... Perfection. Fresh produce with flavours that were allowed to shine through. No... More

Great food , great service , okay atmosphere . Menu not extensive but everything I had was great . I had beef carpaccio and the lamb washed down with a nice Pinot noir . The restaurant is laid out with plenty of space around the tables which can make the atmosphere a little quiet . I did notice that the... More

Overall a disappointing experience. The service was average, with 2 waitresses both telling us the specials for the night. The noisy atmosphere, hard wooden chairs, cafe style setting and casual service was not what I had expected at all. My entree was one of the specials for the evening, lambs spare ribs. They were small, fatty and greasy. My main... More
