After a morning of children's sports a hot drink and a wee bite to eat was well deserved. The location can not be faulted, especially perfect on such a beautiful winters day. Great outside space with a great view. Seated outside our friendly waitress bought water and glasses and then took our order for five - hot drinks, 2 sweets... More

Lunch with a bunch of friend, some quite hard to please. Great service. Menu choices were good. Staff friendly. Did have to wait a while to attract attention for dessert and coffee orders though. All of us enjoyed the food immensely. Wine prices pretty steep. Great location & the fire in the corner made it cosy even though it is... More

The chicken pasta with basil and spinach is great and it has no heavy cream sauce ideal for lunch. Sitting by the ocean and watching the ships come in. The place was quiet fill but the waiting time was great and the staff were very friendly

We had lunch on a Sunday - service was slow. Food was okay, but not good enough considering the prices. I expected a lovely pub meal and was left feeling a bit ripped off. Venue is fab, loved the seated area outside by the water.

It was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night but the quality of the food and the presentation of it were superb. A good wine list, cheery staff and a lovely old wharf-shed ambience make this a great place to dine.

Decent sized meals, reasonably priced. A wee bit slow on drinks by one waitress but barman was excellent

I have fond memories of this place, situated in an idyllic spot on the Gisborne wharf. I was pretty disappointed tonight. When we arrived the young waitress merely waved in the general vicinity of a table as she dashed past. The young male waiter smelt strongly of cigarettes. The bread and dip platter held long slabs of what seemed to... More

Good food in fun location. Both indoor and outdoor (with good shelter provided by sun shield). Good variety of food and wine at lunchtime and in the evening.

We went to the Wharf Bar for our work xmas function, we had the seated buffet menu and it was delicious. There was a great variety of food for the starter, mains and dessert and plenty portion wise. It was also lovely to be seated at sunset on the edge of the water. Bliss!
