Called in for a quick lunch on a lovely sunny day. Food and service were good and the coffee was excellent. An intimate indoor dining area supplemented by outdoor tables which might be a challenge in worse weather. But a good experience. Recommended

I think this little cafe is best known for its fruit smoothies.... but they also have Russian and Polish 'pierogi' (dumplings) available. Having come across these in Melbourne, it was with much surprise I found them in Gizzy! The Russian ones are larger (a la cornish pastry) and they have 4 or 5 'flavours' including some vegetarian. The Polish version... More

The food is home baked by Renie's Mum and is flavoursome. It has a warm environment with friendly atmosphere. I found the serving / dining area on the small side which made you feel a little crammed otherwise ... nice atmosphere and friendly service.

absolutely top-notch smoothies and juices-best we've had, anywhere, anytime, both for outright flavour and value for money. food largely centred around pierogy in various flavours-the two we had were both very nice. Will go again next time we're in Gisborne!

What happened? Completely different ppl serving, completely different taste in the food, a bit dry actually. And when i brought... More

Love this cute little cafe. The smotthies and juices are awesome, the sammies soooo fresh, the cakes sooo tempting. Serena is delightful. Her mum makes the best gourmet pies.

Run by daughter and mum, it's just like home. Cosy little touches and healthy options. I like their fruit drinks made by them in front of you. Their beef sandwiches are brilliant and if you want a good egg sandwich try theirs

The title says it all with great coffee and sandwiches too. Excellent service at this little street cafe. The pie crusts are to die for and the fillings are always full of flavour. Best to dine during the summer outside on the street as very little room inside the cafe.

The title says it all, if you want amazing smoothies in Gisborne you need to try Renies - the only downside is that sometimes its closed early due to running out of fruit! Try a Paris Passion!!
