Coffee after the Farmers Market

Called into this little cafe after a mornings shop at the Farmers Market. Have to admit they did the best coffee of all that I tried in other Gisborne eateries. Loved the little authentic European pancakes (savory).

I went for the Russian fare that I had read about on trip advisor. Unfortunately nothing was available in this line that would be ready in my time frame. So I went for the eggs bene and a spiced Chai latte. The latte was warmed milk (not frothy) with the flavor added. Drinkable but not really up to standard. The... More

Very little café, cute, and very friendly and helpful staff. I had a "Bordeaux" smoothie, which was very tasty. I'll go back to try more of them!

Really lovely people. We had beef snichel which I cannot spell and salad. My boy had a Russian crepe which he loved but the best thing was the smoothies. The guys who run it are very nice too. Happy to make changes to the menu. Worth a visit for sure.

I always go to Rennies for my choice of smoothies! They are so good and a great price. They also have a selection of other yummy treats which aren't badly priced but so good.. and they are healthy! Bonus.

Boris and his helpers are lovely and friendly. The food is always great. I love the Hungarian Goulash he makes. The atmosphere is wonderful, warm and cosy.

Called in for a quick lunch on a lovely sunny day. Food and service were good and the coffee was excellent. An intimate indoor dining area supplemented by outdoor tables which might be a challenge in worse weather. But a good experience. Recommended

I think this little cafe is best known for its fruit smoothies.... but they also have Russian and Polish 'pierogi' (dumplings) available. Having come across these in Melbourne, it was with much surprise I found them in Gizzy! The Russian ones are larger (a la cornish pastry) and they have 4 or 5 'flavours' including some vegetarian. The Polish version... More

The food is home baked by Renie's Mum and is flavoursome. It has a warm environment with friendly atmosphere. I found the serving / dining area on the small side which made you feel a little crammed otherwise ... nice atmosphere and friendly service.

absolutely top-notch smoothies and juices-best we've had, anywhere, anytime, both for outright flavour and value for money. food largely centred around pierogy in various flavours-the two we had were both very nice. Will go again next time we're in Gisborne!
