My Favourite Gisborne Cafe

Great variety of food and very friendly staff. Good location, over the road from the library and between Gisborne's two sets of traffic lights. In the summer, sit at an outside table and watch Gisbornites wander by.

Our favourite café in Gisborne is still tops with us ! New Manager David Campbell has the place humming and the best part is that friendly staff are still intact !! Sarah, June Ben and co are the warm welcoming people you would always want to meet.. the coffee superb and the date scone a meal in itself. We keep... More

Recommended to us by many we popped in for a leisurely brunch on the Saturday of a long weekend. The place was busy and humming along. Staff were frantic. We found a table, went and placed our orders and waited. We knew there'd be a bit of a wait as we overhead a guy getting takeaway coffee being told the... More

There is very little to dislike at Zest. The staff are friendly enough however there can be delays in getting your order. The food is delicious though and the coffee is great as well. Nice to be able to sit outside on a nice day if you are early enough.

A personal favorite is the mushrooms on toast! So simple but so good. The coffee is consistantly good, and the lunch specials highlight seasonal fresh foods. Great cooks, Trust the kitchen, Awesome caterers for special events of any scale, Fresh juices, nomnomnom

Lovely to sit outside just off the main street of Gisborne. Friendly hosts and lovely food. Maybe just a little pricey for the area.

Had a late lunch here (after getting 'stood up' at another cafe), had bacon and egg pie (very nice, includes sausages), while the others in my group also enjoyed their food. It all came with a little side salad, and prompt and friendly service. Nice seating area outside as well, the street is not too busy, and there is shade... More

Had breakfast and lunch here while visiting Gisborne - YUMMMY!!! Locals appear to frequent this little bistro type restaurant. Lovely homemade food. DO HAVE one of the DATE SCONES - huge and delicious! You can either eat in here or take food away. Dine inside or outside! Easy walk to downtown. Loved the eggs benedict! Lovely fresh eggs. Everything was... More

The most popular cafe in Gisborne. :-) Service is supreme. Coffee is great and we go back time and again. Sarah, Ben and Isabella are special people and aways go the extra mile. My friend needed only hot water for his decaf tea bag and was given it free of charge. They are swamped by clients at lunch times and... More
