Last time we went to a sushi train was in Tokyo where I must admit I didn't find too much that I liked! But this one in Auckland was fab and fun with food I recognised and would eat. My 2 girls thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a limit each and stuck to that so good for their maths too.

This is speed dining, with the pre-made sushi coming to you on a conveyor belt with waitresses to fill in whatever else you need. Not glamorous or trendy, but an efficient way to get good fresh sushi at very low prices.

If you know what a sushi hand roll should look like then do not order one here! I asked for a salmon and avocado hand roll. It was a cone of cold hard rice with a tiny bit of avocado and a taste of salmon! Most of the dishes on the train are deep fried and fatty or heavily topped... More

it's right outside the entrance to Sebel Suites hotel lobby. It's not only a fun place to choose your own sushi as they are right in front of you on a moving tray, it's also not that expensive. The price is according to the color of the sushi plates. I think it starts from NZD$3 to NZD$6 per plate. You... More

I visited this sushi restaurant recently with a friend, my daughter and one of her friends, we had the best time ever. The selection and freshness of the food was impeccable, the service absolutely flawless and best of all was the overall feeling that the staff in the place were working hard to ensure everyone in the place was having... Being in Auckland at lunch time we decided to stop at the Sushi Train as we visit them often when at home; Found this to be a mistake. Had to sit at a table as there were none available around the counter. Very little to choose from and a lot of empty spaces on 'Train' and they were not being... More

Always a treat to see such a rich choice and such fresh wonderful food. Service great. Three of us ate up large and tried lots of delicacies...all for $50 all up. Great value.

Wasn't the best I had but was ok and worth a stop in. They are central and easy to get to so it's not a hassle if in town. Enjoyed watching the preparation aswell

Love watching the talented chefs prepare yummy Sushi. Fun for the family, just be careful how many plates you order as the $$ amount up.
