The waiters were friendly and kind, plus it came with amazing music and the place looked authentic. It was the best Japanese restaurant I've been to (and I've been to a lot.)

We have been coming to Taiko for years and will continue to do so. Consistently brilliant food, always fresh, always great flavours!! Brilliant atmosphere (not the place for a quiet romantic dinner though). Guaranteed fun when you can sit Ian (the owner) down for a chat! The service is reliable and friendly and if there is ever an issue they... More

We love going to Taiko. The food is absolutely brilliant and the service is fantastic. We try other Japanese restaurants but always come back to Taiko for the simple reason that in our opinion its the top in Auckland.

Every time we come to this restuaruant, it feels as though the staff are truly happy to see us, and I always wonder why it's been so long between visits. The food is always glorious. We dine out on a large sashimi, prawn tempura, and tonight we indulged in teriyaki chicken. It was divine, and washed down with a Japanese... More

Shared Tapas between 3 of us and each had a main. Everything I had tasted so good my taste buds were in overdrive. Looking forward to visiting again on my next trip... More

Came here for my birthday with my family. It was a week night so restaurant wasn't full but enough diners to keep the wait staff occupied. We ordered Chicken Karaage, Tuna, Sushi, Sashimi Teriyaki chicken seafood noddles. All of these dishes were delicious so no complain. Would recommend it
