this is one of the best Malaysian restaurants available outside Malaysia, eating here takes you back to the delights of Malaysian food, close your eyes & you could be in Penang. Angie, the owner , is a great front of house person, always remembers you.

I know traditionally perhaps these dishes didn't have a lot of meat due to availability but when a dish is overloaded with carrot which isn't mentioned on the menu then I'm asking the question, why?

I first came here almost 20 years ago and have been coming back ever since. Annie the owner always remembers you even if she hasn't seen you for many years (I moved overseas for 7 years, came back and she instantly remembered me) and keeps you up to date with what your old colleagues are up, because they too are... I have been enjoying this restaurant for over 20 years-same owners! Back then the décor was very ordinary and now days its more pleasant. The most important thing to me is the authentic Malaysian flavours. I've travelled widely in Asia and its often difficult to find those true flavours replicated here in Auckland. I'll often get a takeaway weekly here... More

Walk in and its like a traditional family restaurant in Kl, Malacca or Penang. The food is wonderfully authentic. Roti and curry to start. Made me miss my mornings in Malaysia. The laksa was Penang style with a good seafood mix. Try it and it will save the flight to Malaysia or introduce you to what great food they have... More

Five of us went last night after I had read a rave review in a local Auckland food magazine and unusually the reviewer had it spot on. We started with three types of Satay and followed with Sambal chicken and Sambal squid, Beef Rendang with rice and roti and the best Penang fish curry that I have ever eaten. All... More

We had just arrived AKL when our family stumbled upon this restaurant. My dad's friends invited us to had dinner there and glad we did! The richness of the taste and the delicious aroma was just like back home! Generous portion size and we love the spicyness. Yummy

This is a basic Malaysian Restaurant ! Great staff whom I assume are husband and wife !! This is basic food - spicy and wonderful and such excellent service - so busy yet the service and smiles remain! the food is extra hot unless one asks for less - a great variety and as tourists we so enjoyed it -...
