Disappointed in being told there were no oysters left for dinner service. First time dining here and staff were not informative. 2 kids sitting at table fussing over not wanting anything and staff member didn't mention the kids menu when taking our orders until we asked if there was a kids menu. Atmosphere seemed fine other than that. Young female... More

My wife and I went for lunch mainly because we were in the area and it looked interesting. We had a prawn cocktail each for starters and a seafood meal for our main courses. The whole cost came to $40. The food was very fresh and well presented. It truly was better than some top restaurants. The service was also... More

Whether you suit a high chair or a wheelchair this is a great place to eat. Or even if you can walk. Get someone to heave you up a couple of steps at the entrance, turn left and get up to the bar. If you have as good taste as myself - have a Guiness. Plenty of other good choices... More

We eat here a lot as we're local. It''s consistently good, with a nice atmosphere, good menu and lovely staff. The setting is great, a lovely old building with warm timber floors and lots of old photos in the pub next door. Good for families earlier in the evening. The servings are generous so sides aren't normally needed in our... More

Warm welcome from the staff, seated promptly with hospitality, told of the specials, drinks came , orders for food taken. The seafood chowder is just that, mussels, shrimps, prawns, scallops, calamari, fish and by the way it is delightfully delicious. My partner had the special of a dozen oysters with a side salad, she declared them as the best thing since... More

Lovely old pub that used to be known as the Black Bridge many years ago. Excellent decor, obviously very nautical in both theme and food. The staff assigned to our small group were excellent, both friendly and attentive without being over the top. Our food arrived promptly and at the same time, helpings were large. All in my group seemed... More

Had a family farewell here before we flew back to Australia. The staff were fantastic and could not have done more to help us enjoy our night. The meals were of good quality and reasonably priced. As we had about 20 people and of a mixed age group we decided to have the restaurant meals served at the Bar so... More
