Food was the worst we have had whilst travelling anywhere.the crepes were terrible. Bread selection was okay but it ended there. Service is good though and value for money.

The plat de jour are $18. Chacuterie for two was $12. The food is great as is the service. This is a vey easy restaurant to recommend - we will be back.

This is the second time we have been to this restaurant before a meal and once again it delivered. Wonderful food, a good range of options, not too expensive, and just around the corner from the Civic theatre. The meal came in plenty of time, the wine was pleasant, the staff are very friendly and very french - a delightful... More

We recently dined at Torchon French Creperie for lunch on a saturday, it was very nice, the setting was just how I imagine a cafe in France to be very quaint. I had the Foresiene chicken and mushrooms it was very nice with lots of chicken and mushrooms. My husband had the scrambled eggs which was cooked to perfection. The... More

Stopped in for a look and the atmosphere was what we where looking for. Service was great, the entree was really good, the main was just OK but will be back next time and will try other dishes. Not a big place but would recommend this place for a meal.

We were shopping in the central city and decided to have lunch. We had been to this establishment previously and enjoyed their crepes, so decided to re-visit. The items that most appealed were the Forestiere Crepes (mushroom filling), which can come with added chicken; and Oceane - with a salmon and avocado filling. We were not disappointed. The crepes arrived... More

We ate there before the theatre. My savoury buckwheat crepe was delicious, as was the croque Madame my husband chose. Great coffee and French cider. We decided to go back for another meal a few weeks later but arrived at 11.15am for brunch, to find they do not open until midday.

Great atmosphere, quick service, fabulous croissants. For a latte, flat white and two croissants with confiture was $14.00 - not too bad for the centre of town we thought.

This place is great for lunch or dinner. Delish but simple fare and great french cider. If you go for lunch the best seat is the one by the street. You get to people watch and enjoy the yummy food and cider. A personal fave!

We have been to Torchon a number of times and have always come away feeling really satisfied. We brought another couple with us on this occasion and they are now planning to go back and try the escargot, after enjoying the crepes. What we really liked about this little restaurant is the very continental atmosphere and the fact that the... More
