Expensive wine but really good. We had the central Otago Riesling which was fantastic. All our meals were good I liked especially the fresh spring rolls and the dessert of lime curd and meringue with ice cream .

Had a glorious meal this evening at Cafe Hanoi. The service was excellent - attentive but not intrusive. The dishes were a divine melding of flavours and textures. Lovely modern Vietnamese cuisine staying true to its roots but with a twist that enhances the combination of sweet and sour, spicy and full flavours. A nice buzzy atmosphere, they were busy... More

I'm Vietnamese so I'm a bit picky when it comes to Viet food. For what it is, it's overpriced. There are other more affordable restaurants in Auckland that will give you more authentic cuisine. But it's trendy with nice atmosphere in the Britomart district.

My first time to this restaurant. The service was excellent, the place had a very nice decor and a good atmosphere. The food was good, however the Banh Xeo Vietnamese crispy pancake had hardly any pork and lacked taste. Also had the Bun Cha which was nice, but again lacked the real flavour of a really good Bun Cha. All... More

What a delight. Shared plates of beautiful food, packed full of flavour. We ordered the special of the day of beef wrapped in leaves with a ginger and nut dressing. Then onto courses from the menu. This included the chicken thighs w kaffir lime, lemongrass, ginger & okra. The chicken was tender and the heat from the spices lingers in... More

Once we found the place, we were in heaven. The dishes were sublime, each with fresh and distinct flavours with beautiful presentation and pace. The service was superb. The ambience was perfect. Loved it all and highly recommend. Will be back on my next visit.

Common to many eating venues in the area the cafe is in a minimally converted warehouse type building. Quite dark (hard to read the menu) and the concrete walls make the place quite a sound box. On the positive side the good was lovely and fresh, full of flavour and nicely presented. Staff very friendly and provided efficient service. Decent... More

We had fantastic evening here with friends for dinner. The food was excellent, we tried pretty much everything on the menu as we shared amongst our group. The service was great, they were happy to explain the dishes and answer our questions. Can't wait to our next visit.
