Great place to catch up with friends

Stayed in Auckland for a long weekend and caught up with friends on the first evening. We headed out late for dinner ( usually not good in AKL where restaurants tend to close early by other city standards) but we found this place and we could still get a table. We had to wait at the bar for about... read more

The Beverage attendant was certainly on his game on the night of the 8th, and is to be commended. The meals were also of an excellent standard, a group of five of us could not fault the Entrees and Mains that we ordered, i think a couple went to order the scallop dish, to be told there were no scallops,... The restaurant has a nice location, but the chairs are not that comfortable. The service is friendly like anywhere in New Zealand, but nothing out of the ordinary there. The food was below average - especially the Price taken into consideration

We walked the viaduct area & this was one of the last places to choose from. Staff are very friendly & food was nice. Value for money, probably not, however you are dining at the waterfront so you have to expect less for your $$. The flavours were good & the restaurant was very clean.

We were attracted to this restaurant because it looked smart. We both selected Snapper and chips from the menu, service was quick as a lot of the tables were reserved and we were eating early. The fish was tasty, however the chips were far too thick, about 1.5 inches thick! I would give it another try.

We were very fortunate to be treated to dinner at The Foodstore by our friends. They had eaten there before, were very pleased with it and wanted to share the experience with us. Great location and nice to watch all the people walking by. We were a little annoyed when the waitress closed up the shade as a customer at... More

Well. The reviews are mixed but it's not busy tonight and the service is attentive (and cute). Starter of salmon sashimi is ok, slightly lacking in flavor for me considering the gazpacho and miso but ok. The crayfish kokonda is awesome, fresh, fruity and only craving a little citrus. Beware of the onion ring side (in a good way), I... More

Picking a restaurant amongst so many on the quay is difficult so we 'dived in'. Being a Saturday night & having not booked we were told we may have a half hour wait. After 10 minutes in the bar we were shown to our table! We chose seared Tuna - a mouthwatering experience along with Cloudy Bay Sauvignon blanc -... More

This was a memorable meal that showed the pride the chefs had in using only local ingredients. The location in the viaduct area of Auckland is in the midst of a whole lot of other restaurants. The waitress moved us from our original table (which was a bit noisy due to the Irish pub restaurant next door) at a time... More

My son and I ate here for dinner and decided on trying a couple entree's each as we were not overly hungry after just flying into Auckland. I ordered the Pan Fried Scallops and was surprised the scallops were very small and the black pudding was fried to almost none existence. It was quite a small serving and not that... More
