This place is right on the waterfront. The staff were lovely and the food great. We liked the fact that we could get small plates. The tv screens showing the food going on to the plates are a nice touch in one way, but a bit distracting.

A friend and I booked this restaurant a few weeks in advance, as we knew anything along the viaduct on a Saturday night is hard to walk into. We were shown to a table and given menus, no drinks list but after we asked, received one along with a salt shaker knocked off the table. We had a fair idea... More

We were taken to this restaurant for lunch by a New Zealander - an old friend. The restaurant had bluff oysters so we were in heaven. We were still to fine out that something equal nice awaited us and that was a bottle of Invivo Savignon Blanc. Our host's son is the wine maker of that vintage and with bluff... More

We went there for our anniversary lunch, our waiter was lovely (English guy), the food was terrific, best lamb I have ever tasted, we took the express lunch option but it was so good, we had additional wines, and couldn't pass the desserts and coffees The kitchen was open, which I absolutely love, however, the head chef behaviour resembled Gordon... We had a VERY large party who booked out the restaurant for the evening. A lovely meal and the staff managed to serve everyone a four course meal pretty well given our numbers. Paua soup entree was fantastic and I am a halloumi fan.

My wife is a Food TV fan and when in Auckland for the weekend we like go to the Foodstore. It is on the Viaduct and sitting outside it has a great view and is good for people watching. We had lunch on this occasion, service from our waiter was good but he struggled to keep up with the demand.... More

Arrived a little later than booked in. Promptly attended to by the Waitress for drinks. Menu had plenty of choices so took a while to make up our minds. We were guests of Local Business so no expense to me & my wife. The Food was excellent and beautifully presented. The Waiter went missing and took longer than usual to... More

We visited on a Saturday night when other places appeared too busy and noisy. Friendly staff, good menu choice, good wine list, and easy relaxed environment. We sat outside and it was a perfect easy first night in Auckland when we wanted to be out but were not up for a noisy environment. Desserts were not as amazing as rest... More

The food at the foodstore, was lovely, the use of NZ produce was fantastic, more restaurants should do this. It;s great to know that our food is home grown. The service was very good and food presentation has fantastic. It was an excellent experience, location is hard to beat, right on the waterfront over looking the Americas Cup Yachts.

Pick a good day it was freezing with the sides not sealed up, and they started opening the outside covers at 10pm when we were still dining inside. The menu is very limited - not at all what I expected, it is pricey but delicious and the service was not great.
