As per the subject heading, guests are asked to reuse their plates, reuse cutlery and one wouldn't expect that linked to the price one pays for the limited choice of meals on offer. Also see review by Nelly Trolley who I don't know but was at the same "Spanish" themed evening as her and her party. On the plus side,... More

Attended the Spanish Basque evening last weekend and we were very under awed by the average food served for the price. At $69 a head we received a plate of tapas, some chicken thighs in a thin sauce, some potato wedges and salad leaves and a very dry and boring orange cake. What disappointed most was how little the food... More

I can consider it's such a good venue, location and it has nice surroundings. The only thing the whole meal is so overpriced and not great. Great for parties though! Just improve customer service also I reckon.

An unusual but interesting cafe/bistro offering a limited evening menu that changes most weeks. Simply cooked French dishes at prices a bit below the market average ($30 for mains) served in a capacious area used for the indoor section of the weekly French market. Don't expect haute cuisine but the servings are generous and well flavoured. The wine shop which... More

Best clams on a grill! If you come toward the close , about 1:30 day you might get lucky to get 10 clams for 7 at $7NZ! The spices are great, scallops are fresh!

The restaurant is informal and unpretentious but with great character. The menu is ultra simple - choice of two mains, which you preorder when you book your table. Starters and desserts are chosen at the table. The service is polished and friendly. Can be noisy when they have a full house.

This really is the French Centre of Auckland. It combines a wonderful shop selling antiques, French food, and even Provencal ceramics. At the rear of the warehouse you will find Wine Direct with their extensive selection of well-priced quality European wines. During the week there’s a large selection of counter food, fresh salads and meals in the bistro section, including... More

Themed on a French market, unfortunately it becomes very crowded on Saturday mornings - you have to queue up and wait 10-15 minutes for a coffee and then it's hard to find somewhere to sit down and enjoy it! Prefer the Parnell market, less crowded and although it has fewer stalls, I don't have to wait 15 minutes for a... More

We wanted somewhere for our get-together, where we could enjoy one-another's company and enjoy a great meal in comfortable surroundings. The staff were very helpful, explained how the menu works, and were attentive without being over-bearing. Food was very tasty. Parking was right outside the door which is a big plus in Auckland. Don't think I would go for an... More

What a great selection of French Food and market goodies. Everyone is cated for with a huge range to choose from. Great place to take out or town visitors rain or shine. A great find!
