The Perth dining scene has changed so much in recent years. The shift to more casual dining featuring shared plates is a welcome addition to the culinary landscape. There are special occasions however when one wishes to indulge the tastebuds in beautiful, classical, elegant surroundings reminiscent of Gershwin's at The Hyatt or The Garden Restaurant formerly at the Parmelia Hilton.... Had a very nice evening at the Opus, staff courteous and attentive. Could not fault. Food was good quality and steak cooked as requested

Service was outstanding. Very attentive yet unobtrusive and knowledgable. Dishes were likewise prepared and presented beautifully. Both entrees and mains were excellent meals. My only gripe being the Black Angus Fillet - in keeping with the trend now I felt this was too aged and was somewhat dry and "bread like" texture. Whilst meals are reasonably priced for the quality,... More

We celebrated a birthday here, just the two of us. The atmosphere, food and service were all very good and I would recommend it. It is definitely a formal dining experience which is to be commended (there is a need for all types of experience and good formal dining appears to be a dying art)

We went to The Opus to celebrate an anniversary, and were rewarded from the minute we arrived. The staff were courteous and always seemed to be anticipating our every need. Decor is understated but elegant. Classic crisp white tableclothes and comfortable. No loud music and space between the tables. And, then, there was the food. Again, traditional fare done to... More

Great experience from start to finish. The restaurant is located in a boutique hotel and it does have a vaguely "hotel" feel to it. However, don't let that put you off. We arrived first and were invited to sit near the bar for a pre dinner drink. Our guests arrived a few minutes later and were offered the same thing.... More

Not a cheap restaurant but it is certainly a great one. Impressive menu, wine list, food and service. I have been there a number of times over the years and it has never left me unimpressed. My favourite fine dining restaurant.

Expensive? Very! However, we had a great night at Opus on Easter Saturday. Apart from a slightly odd greeting when I advised my name on arrival 'Yes, that will be alright' instead of 'Welcome Mr X' or 'Welcome to Opus, we look forward to looking after your every need', the service was exemplary. This alone was worth paying for after... More
