Between the six of us we had a varied mix from the large menu from pasta,... More

I bought a voucher for my parents to dine here as a gift. When they went there, I got a phone call from them, quite distressed, at the end of the meal saying that the restaurant would not let them use the voucher. I spoke to a staff member who told me that the voucher had already been used. I... More

Tapas - horrors. My partner and I were going to the theatre for a show. As it was after work, we decided to eat somewhere close by.We suddenly spotted the "New" Oriel and impulsively decided to go there, to relive the old days, when it was THE place to be seen in the 80s and 90s. As Julia Roberts said... More

Getting cold water served was difficult; getting to the point of even ordering a second glass of wine was excruciating. Don't these peole want to make any money?? The pizza when it came was good (one arrived over 5 mins before the other though). Slapdash service, and puzzling signs abounded boasting that this was the "New Oriel". Does this mean... More

This cafe doesn't know what it is; Asian, European or just a scramble of poor food at inflated prices. Very average service.

This place was a staple for late night after drinks snacks or coffee. Food was always varied but average. Very slow kitchen. Reduced trading hours means they need to improve service and food to balance losing their point of difference. Hasn't happened yet.
