Good food with very nice view of Perth

I´ve been at Matilda Bay to celebrate my wife´s birthday. The service was excellent and the meals very tasty. They have very good wines at reasonable prices. The view to the Swan river is fantastic. I certainly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

My partner and I came for a special just because dinner a few weeks ago. Despite our first few wine choices being unavailable, the meals, ambience and staff made up for the minor disappointment. All our meals were faultless, especially the fillet steak. And the espresso martini was sensational. Can't wait to go back again.

Went there with my wife and our twins. Our experience of their online reservation was pretty good. We arrived on time and found our table set in a convenient part of the restaurant with two child seats, exactly as what we made a request. We decided to have one set meal whilst one of us made a la carte order.... More

Recently, my Medico friend from Greece and I enjoyed lunch at the well known Matilda Bay restaurant on the bay at Crawly right near the University of Western Australia. It was a stormy, wet and windy day with grey clouds billowing overhead. However, no matter what Nature threw at us, our window table gave us a great opportunity to see... More

An important "working" lunch with long term clients. Our choice of Matilda Bay was the right one. The service was excellent. We were made to feel important and welcome. The food was on time and of a quality that a number of people commented. Despite our orders being varied, they were all great.Wine choice and pricing was good. An easy... More

Went there today with my partner and had a terrible time, got charged for two deserts when we only ordered one, and we were rushed out of the restaurant. After paying $140, I think i would rather eat absolutely anywhere else. The view was nice, and the food was pretty good (although the portions were small) but being over charged... More

Went there for the lunch special. 2 courses and a glass of wine for $48 pp. I had the tiger prawns and the black sesame crusted lamb loin chops. The view over the water is sensational. Wonderful lunch.

Having recently read the column in the Weekend Australian's paper by Bernard Salt, when we were shown to where we would be seated, I asked for another table. There was nothing wrong with the table but there were 2 families seated nearby and we wanted a quiet area. This was no trouble to the smiling waitress at all. Our entire... More

Wow! Neve tried venison before and was told by the highly efficient English waitress that the chef recommended that it be cooked medium rare. What a delight! It was perfectly cooked and made fillet mignion seem pretty tasteless. My wife had the short rib. Perfectly presented, but a little fatty. Rosemary potatoes were a little lacking.Appeared to be frozen and... More

Restaurant was located in Bay Area where many yachts were docked. Beautiful scenery indeed. Food presented looked gorgeous and appetising which did not fail. Ordered 4 mains, 2 entrees, 1 bottle of white wine came up to $300 which found reasonable give the up-class setting and excellent service. Worth a try if willing to splurge on a romantic dinner.
