Good atmosphere, good food

I enjoy dining at The Court for its atmosphere and the speed at which food comes out. The food is generally alright, although at times the service can be a bit lackluster. Have had mixed experiences with regards to the service so would depend on who you get.

We are living in Singapore and originally from US. We went for a night out and had two types of IDs - one from SG and one from US. They refused U.S. entry because we are foreigners and must have a passport. This is absolutely ridiculous - there is no information anywhere that states this and further the security staff... More

Hi BK Unfortunately we (and all licensed premises in Australia) are bound by law in regards to what identification we can accept. For international visitors, a passport is the only legally accepted form of identification. While we understand this is frustrating, it is the law and our security staff must follow it. This is clearly stated on the FAQ section... More

The Court is Perth's main LGBTQ venue and is a fun night out - the food is pub standard but there are loads of nearby eating options if that is what you need, however if you feel the need to party then the music dancing and lively fun of The Court is a wonderful distraction.

I'd rate it much higher if it weren't for the terrible security staff and even worse owner. The security staff are heavy handed. I had a work bag with me and wanted to check for contraband on entry. That's fine. What is not fine is sticking your hand in there without permission. It's also illegal. They can look but cannot... More

It may be the epicentre of the gay and lesbian scene in Perth, but it also is a pretty good place for eggheads too, especially on a Thursday night when the free quiz night is on. The $15 steak (300g), chips and beer (midi) is hard to beat. Cooked as requested and of good quality, the meal is always delivered... More

Hi We're sorry you feel you were incorrectly identified as intoxicated by our door staff when you felt you were not (we don't refuse based on walking style, unless it is stumbling!). If this ever happens all you need to do is calmly ask to see the manager on duty and they will assess you themselves and make the final... More

Came here a few nights while on holiday in Perth, and had a great time. Staff were great, and very helpful about what little Perth night life there is. Drinks are average as Perth is expensive at any rate. I didn't eat there my self but the smell of the food was good and the pizzas looked great. I would... More

I'd be at this venue every day and night of the week if I could be. I'm a massive fan of the pizzas, cleverly named, and perfectly made, they go well with a beer in the afternoons. Or my personal fav- their scotch fillet with a nice glass of red! Definitely worth checking it out.

Expensive drinks and very slow service. Staff would rather serve people they know rather than who is next in line. And don't get me started on the dirty toilets. I will never be drinking here again.

Hi Daleporter Thanks for visiting us and we're sorry you didn't have the best experience here. You're right about our male toilets, they were not up the standard of the rest of the venue and we have just finished a gorgeous renovation of them over the past three weeks. They are now simply stunning! In regards to your comments on... More

The Court Hotel is the pillar of LGBT society in Perth, it is a large venue with indoor and outdoor bar, dance floor and seating. It goes from casual drinks, pool table and lunch menu in the afternoons, to a great spot to have dinner in the evenings and one of the best nightclub scenes in Perth after 10pm. Food... More
