Good food but service needs to be improved.

The food here is good, it really is delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. The service however, significantly needs to be improved. The time for food to arrive can be quite long but I guess it's worth the wait. As vegetarians we are always pleased that none of the food we receive ever smells of... read more

The time for food to arrive can be quite long but I guess it's worth the wait. As vegetarians we are always pleased that none of the food we receive ever smells of any of the meat dishes! I'd... Been here a few times with friends and it has become our go to place for lunch when we are in the mood for Indian food, as not that many Indian restaurants are. As the name suggests this place serves specialty Indian sweets and seems to do a brisk business with its Indian clientele who buy boxes of the sweet... More

Bad service, waited on table for more than 10 mins and no one came to take our order. Staff was too busy in themselves that were least bothered to attend or even to look at customers and all that when restaurant was not even busy. After waiting for while we stood up and went out, no staff member paid attention... More

I had the chicken tikka masala with rice, garlic naan and raita. The food was nice and fresh but the chicken itself could have been better. The sauce was nice but not spiced quite enough. The staff was very nice and I will probably go back and try another dish. A lot to chose from on the menu.

I have to share a very forgetful experience at Mela one afternoon, a few weeks back. My craving for Paneer had gotten the better of me so, I swooped into Mela to try out some Paneer delicacies. First of all, the seat that we had taken had a cockroach under the table. Believe it or not, on asking the waitress... More

Mela truly serves the best Dosa in Perth,The accompanying Sambar and Chutneys are also very Tasty as is the Potato Masala. My children enjoy the Cheese Naan, which is well prepared and their Tandoori chicken is very tasty, not too hot but with a lovely Tandoori flavour. The Vegetarian Thali can improve,as it is annoying getting the same sambar served with Dosa .I... I ordered onion baji a sizzling chicken to start and we decided they were so good we'd eat it all as they don't reheat like a curry does. I ordered the jhinga masala my wife ordered the butter chicken and we shared a kadhai paneer, butter naan and steamed rice.. The prawns in the jhinga masala were crunchy and cooked... More

I heard that they sell sweets.. so i bought some cashew roll and (we call it cham cham).. sweets were prepared a long ago... As you can smell stinkiness of old friedoil.. i had to throw them out.. and owners, if you are reading this, please maintain food standards.. Hot food was good.. curry was great..
