The ambience and location of Toast is definitely different than the rest of some of Perth Locations - very quiet and on a small inlet. The inside of the restaurant is a bit cramped, but perhaps they were going for that "cozy" look. We ordered an egg-white omlette and a special crab omlette with special juice - orange, ginger, lemon... More

With a pretty cool bo-ho kind of atmosphere, in one of the best spots in Perth (a river view without being a grotesque city skyline cliche), Toast should be one of the best places in the city to grab a coffee or juice, a quick bite and a bit of sun by the gleaming Swan. But for all its casual... More

i have never seen such a line for a cafe, the foods not even that great and the service is ####. so what's the attraction? i guess its kind of on the water and there are walking trails and parks near by to go for a walk after (if you don't mind being abused by drunks) surely its not popular... Our group of 8 had breakfast at Toast, which has a lovely marina view, and corn fritters to die for! Its sweet and crunchy texture makes a great alternative to pancakes. You have to be prepared to wait though particularly on weekends, but it's worth it!

But be warned.. you may need to queue for a table! We met some friends on Saturday morning and fortunately they had already reserved a table as I felt rather sorry for the patrons who had just arrived and were number 10 in the queue. The atmosphere is informal, a little shabby chic and rather trendy. Situated right on the... More

We were instantly attracted to this place as we walked by - I mean, unless its a tourist strip, an overflowing cafe can't be bad right? Despite being busy were seen to promptly by the very friendly floor staff. The food on offer was a great mix of things you can have on, you guessed it, toast. I had one... More

Not very impressed with the food. The french toast was overcooked and one of the slices was burnt. It was not fluffy and that lovely egg flavour like a good french toast should be. The juice was good though

Great service and expectations mgt (delays). Top notch vegetarian big brekky. Stuffed mushroom, corn fritter , folded eggs ( they call them scrambled). Music pumping to block out the moron next to me and all is good! Coffee was normal. Those who had a bad food experience should think to give it another go.

Having seen the glowing reviews and rating on TripAdvisor we decided to stop off here on our last morning for breakfast before leaving Perth. It was around 9.25 when we got there and there was a waiting list which had four tables in front of us. The place was attractive and rather quirky and we were given rubber ducks to... More
