NuNam Thai - new name, same quality

We went for the Banquet option where you can choose 2 'tapas 'style aperitif's, 2 entrees and 3 main dishes; we were both full after the first main and took the rest home. Food was fantastic, and even better the place is BYO. Service was very friendly and attentive. All up it cost around $130 and... read more

For those who revered the outstanding food served previously at the Nham Thai and even for a few months after the change to Nunam, a return visit will prove to be very disappointing. We were a party of four having dinner on a Wednesday night. We ordered four entrées and four mains which cost around $60 per head including 2... More

Ate here with friends in April 2015. The food was exemplary. The duck pancake was a refreshing way to start our dinner; the aromatic beef shin was tender, delicious and a clear favourite. The chicken and fish curries had the perfect amount of heat and I can't fault the presentation nor the flavours. Nunam (formerly Nahm Thai) is well worth... More

Found some of it not to be traditional thai. Food was excellent though. Attentive staff. Good experience. Would go back :)

Nunam is the new name for the previous Nahm Thai. Apparently it has changed its service offerings, and decided on a new name - Nu Nam, get it, with it. The name change doesn't make sense to me - why change a brand that is well known into one which causes some confusion. I think that there must be a... More

I'd heard such great things about this restaurant..and was really looking forward to amazing food! Some dishes were tasty, particularly the Pork Hock and the Seafood Curry but overall, VERY EXPENSIVE and certainly not worth the CASH we had to pay! Also, for a restaurant that fancies itself to be a cut above the rest, you'd think they could have... More

We indulged in the $68 per head banquet on a Thursday night and the food was all very good. Miang of prawn in betel leaf, duck pancake, salmon sashimi, duck curry, chicken masaman curry and grilled prawn salad. The lone waiter did a good job of looking after the 3 tables.

Now called Nunam, but still rated by some as the best Asian Restaurant in WA. And deservedly so I think. Most dishes rivalled or came close to the best Thai I've had elsewhere, including the Nahm restaurant in Bangkok, rated as the best restaurant in Asia! The scallop in coconut and palm sugar was one of the best entrees I've... More

The title might sound strange, but let me explain. The interior of the restaurant has high ceilings and concrete floors. The ceilings are white and decorated with large golden light features. On the back wall there is a large book-shelf, dotted with cook books, travel books, wines, the odd collectable. The concrete floor is strewn with worn oriental rugs and... More

This place, I believe, has now changed it's name to Nunam. On the night we dined, the service was extremely attentive and even though the food is modern (and mildly fusion) it embodies authentic Thai flavours. The caramelised quail was beautifully succulent. Soft shell crab and Duck curry were equally delicious. A little on the expensive side but we took... More
