Secret fish and ships … marred by live export unloading

Kind of an odd place for an eatery, at the Port of Broome … we went in search of fish for dinner and thought we must be mistaken or lost because saw no signage and then noted other people arriving and followed them round a corner. Voila! All seating is chunky outdoor tables (so bring a jacket at... read more

Our expectations were sadly not met on our visit here for dinner. Sticky tables, garlic prawns over cooked and only 6 prawns for mains, soggy chilli calamari and dried out chicken (kfc would have been better)very overpriced for the quantity and quality of the food. Have to pay when you order, so our complaints were met with 'oh sorry about... More

We have ordered several entrees and a $120 chili mud crab as a main dish. Food was good but unfortunately the crab came with a long black hair on it. The manager when informed did absolutely nothing about it apart from asking what kind of hair was it. Spending some $200 in place with no table service we rated it... More

We went twice, half price oysters after 2pm are a drawcard. We had grilled threadfin salmon & barra wings as main and both were great. Chilli sand crab on 2nd visit were brilliant.

The meals here are way over priced $120 dollars for 1 chillie mud crab. It is a cafe / fish and chip shop with fine dinning prices.very disappointed.

The trip to the port is worth the effort. This unpretentious cafe gave us a delicious meal and eating experience. We chose from a varied wine list and took the bottle from the fridge. Pity white and red wines are all kept chilled but once the chill was gone our Pinot Noir was great. Our food was grilled to perfection... More

Loved this place on previous visits to Broome could not wait to return and indulge in a Chilli Mud Crab. It did not disappoint it is the yummiest crab I've had since last time. During our week we had to go here twice, it is that good. Its not cheap but the fish, particularly the wild barra is so delicious.... More

Great view, fresh oysters. We came here especially for the oysters as they have ½ price oysters between 2-5pm (as informed by our guide from turtle kayak adventures). Great find. Although perhaps their normal menu seems rather pricey.

The location of this cafe is excellent but we ordered the jumbo prawns, calamari and barra wings for 3 people. There were only 6 prawns, and the calamari was uninteresting, but there were heaps of chips. The barra was good, but it became a very expensive lunch for plain old fish and chips. The service was good, but the meals... More

My family dined here last night, and were open minded given the mixed reviews on Trip Advisor. The menu was pretty good, given a lot places around Broome tend to offer all of the same things. There was a variety in seafood available, as well as flavours. I had a barramundi curry which was sensational, and my husband had the... More
