This is my very first negative review. Matsos, in Broome, old house with lovely views of Town Beach. Yes, the place was full for Sunday lunch, and we were looked after whilst we waited for a table. Beer made right there at $9 a glass was over the top--it was not THAT good. Ordered Caesar salads. When they finally came... More

We visited Matsos' on a previous trip a few years ago and were keen to go back, especially after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. So we have been a couple of times and this is what we think. Location and building are nice. Wiatstaff were pleasant but barstaff were brusque to the point of rudeness Beers were flavoursome and interesting.... More

The pale ale is divine, and so is the ginger beer. The staff seemed frantic and stressed though, it wasn't the most relaxed atmosphere despite all the other reviews I've read. We didn't eat here, the menu didn't look that exciting.

We dined at Matso's twice. The first time our waitress was really sweet and although the service was a bit slow, it didn't really matter. Our second night there was very different. We dined outside in the courtyard with live music which was very good although quite loud and impossible to talk over. Dip and bread for starters came along... More

We had a brekky and quite a few boozy lunches here. Service was great. Food was better than most pub fare and a good choice of beer. It gets busy during peak times so u might get put on a waiting list for a table but don't worry, have a beer and you will be escorted to your table as... More

Matso's was great, chilli beer and ginger beer my favourite and I don't usually like beer! Food was lovely.

The beer is excellent. Try the various types. And the food is fab too. Be early as tables fill up fast. Wish I'd been there when there was live music.

Nine of us ate at Matso's last Sunday and it was a very enjoyable experience. There was food to cater for everyone (apart from the vegan amongst us). What impressed us the most was the impeccable service from a very friendly waitress that had a good knowledge of all the selections. This is the perfect place to chill out with... More

Went for lunch, had the steak sandwich with a relish that was so nice, with the ginger beer. Husband and friends had the "Boozy Roo" pie, chips and gravy with tasters. They all raved over how nice it was. Lovely service from Anabel, Canadian waitress. Would certainly recommend this as a must do in Broome

We enjoyed our tour and beer tasting....was fun...but then the food....geeze guys ...if you are charging $43-$45 for a steak(the same price as cable beach resort 5 star)then get it right...it was luke warm at best, the broccoli was not cooked. Steak was ok but having it cold was not! Our French waiter Benjamin was very nice and efficient!
