A lovely garden place, with interesting cocktails

I enjoyed Madame Brussels. They had a pretty big selection of cocktails, plus they can make ones that aren't listed, such as a Cosmopolitan. It's a lovely garden place, inside and out. It has a very nice view of the city, and they have heaters outside for the Winter, so you'll always be warm.

Cold, Saturday lunchtime spiced up with an early afternoon visit to the very gorgeous Madame Brussels, friendly staff, outdoor seating on rooftop with heaters and individual blankets. Delicious sausage rolls and humus dip, very nicely presented with a jug of Mai Tai. What a great place. Keep up the good work, the banter and that adorable cocker spaniel.

Nothing to complain, except that the recommendations I read and the insider tips I got from the local tour were heavily over-rated. Imagine a normal coffee/bar with a menu card in pink and the word "gay" has been added to every sentence. Other then that I can't think of anything original or special. It has a nice roof-top, but the... More

Well, what can go wrong? A bit Alice in Wonderland, garden party meets brothel theme going on. This is a great place to visit for a quick drink on a good Melbourne day – it has a rooftop area as well as indoor area. It's pretty cold outside in Winter, even with the heaters - however, blankets are handed out... More

Madame Brussels was a bit of a mixed bag for me. I'd really looked forward to trying this bar and loved the novelty of the ex-brothel theme carried through from the bar entrance, to the staff, to the cocktail menu. However, as far as the drinks were concerned, I was pretty disappointed. We only ended up staying for one, despite... More

Recently visited in the afternoon for a special celebration with a large group of friends. The time and place had been booked several weeks earlier. The quirky cafe/terrace is nicely decorated to give a garden party feel. We had a pre-set "Tea" menu costing over $50 per person. The sandwiches were very fresh and delicious, I enjoyed the chicken ones... More

A gorgeous and very quaint experience - but one you should definitely have! The Pimms is all the go but of course there are many other drinks on offer - lovely for an after dinner drink or a late afternoon ladies' session - or just go there and have fun!

Came here on eth recommendation of a friend. Very quirky decor with a hint of Paris. Even though it was a coldish day, sitting outside enjoying beautiful cocktails was delightful. Staff were very helpful and added to the ambiance of the place. A great place to unwind over a leisurely drink.

If you are travelling to Melbourne this is a must do. A quirkty little restaurant with a very unique feel to it. Great to have a couple of catch up drinks over some light nibbles on a Saturday afternoon. Great value and the staff are absolutely wonderful and attentive.
