We had dinner at Mercadante on Sunday night. The restaurant was very busy but we only waited a few minutes for our table to be ready. The staff were very friendly. There are plenty of choices on the menu from pizza, pasta, risotto, steak, schnitzel, salads & much more, so there is plenty for everyone to enjoy. I am a... More

We went as a group of four on 9/3 and had a great meal. We were recommended this restaurant by friends. We had a couple of really good pizzas and a pasta which was really good also. Also had a good dessert pizza. A few drinks and a good time. The meal and drinks cost us $175. We'd recommend this... More

There were many places on Lygon street we could have gone to but this place was busy and buzzing. Our pizza was excellent ...we had ordered a salad which we wanted before the pizza but both came quickly one after the other. The atmosphere was great and I would recommend this place unreservedly. Although it was very busy...full on a... More

Upon reading many favourable reviews, we tried the Frutti Di Mare Wood-fired pizza and Pescatora Tortellini in and was disappointed that some parts of the wood-fired pizza was burnt while the centre portion was soggy and the mussel used in the middle of the pizza was not very fresh. I expected more from a restaurant who name their restaurant as... More

We had dinner at Mercadante on a Sunday night on Lygon St. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was quite busy. There are plenty of options on the menu from pizza and pasta to a schnitzel. There were 33 different types of wood fired pizza, so there is plenty for everyone to enjoy in the Italian district of... More

Having read all the reviews, this restaurant sounded like a fun pizzeria with great pizzas and atmosphere. We had an early booking (6.30pm) on a Saturday. Having arrived, nobody welcomed us and asked us for our details...after 'lingering' at the entrance for a while, expecting a staff member to acknowledge us, we walked towards towards the back of the restaurant... Celebrated daughters birthday at Mercadante, this place was very busy (Thursday) evening, we were met at the door by a very friendly waitress who arranged a table for us. The service was 1st class the food exceptional and nothing was any trouble for the staff. The bar attendant has a knack of entertaining the customers with his very witty jokes... More
