Friendly staff, knowledgable on gluten. Unpretentious and good food at a good price. Well worth a visit.
I had dinner with friends here tonight. We meet frequently and a Greek banquet seems an easy choice. The food always tastes great, but the restaurant is quite small and it is better to pre book a table. As it was so hot today, we all just felt like water instead of wine. The staff is friendly, service a little... More
A small Greek restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. We had the Octopus boiled and marinated in Olive Oil and Vinegar - Average, the Greek Kefalograviera Cheese pan fried and served with a Lemon wedge - Nice, the Grilled Artichokes with Herb dressing and Fetta, Olives and Roasted Capsicum - Very Nice, the Diced Lamb Marinated in Red Wine and Hot... My wife & I arrived shortly before closing time. We were made very welcome & didn't feel hurried in choosing & eating our tasty food. We both had souvlaki - well cooked and very juicy & tender. The restaurant was very homely & alive. Highly recommended.
Cosy, unpretentious restaurant. My colleague an I ordered several appetizers, they were all average, nothing really very exciting. The daily special was a combination of three hot dishes, moussaka, meat ball and beef stew. They were good but not outstanding. However the lamb cutlet was a different story. It was a thinner cut of a lamb chop, it was moist,... More
The music was the reason we went in as we scanned the Greek places in Melbourne. the musicians four men and girl playing the Greek bouzouki and singing of lost loves and faraway Aegean shores. It had a melancholic air and a beautiful accompaniment to the hot meze we ordered. Crisp thin deep fried zucchini with a garlic puree, peppers... More
Tsindos tavern is the place to be when in melbourne and craving for good greek food and nice atmosphere. definitely is the place to go 100% recommended !!
vomited after eating bad seafood there, the waitress was rude. All this for very ordinary food! will never return. The worst food experience we had in melbourne and the most expensive!
We had the goat and the mixed souvlaki and both were very good. We were also given a side Greek salad. The service was very very fast and the staff were all very friendly. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and decor. Really enjoyed our meal here
We chose a set meal with a variety of taster dishes. The service was friendly and reasonably prompt considering how busy they were. The food was very good and they were just setting up for live music when we left (we had an early meal).
