Good honest to goodness Greek family Restaurant

On Lonsdale Street, this restaurant has upstairs and downstairs. Clean white linen tables meet you, and Georgina served us. She was delightful, guiding us through the menu. We decided upon Mousakka & Lamb Kleftiko to share. It was delicious, the slow cooked lamb just melted off the bone and the moussaka was just yummy. We had taken the mixed dips... More

Went there on a recommendation. Start was great good authentic food live Greek music and good quality Greek wine but after waiting for about an hour to be told our mains had been forgotten and that what I had ordered was now sold out was a total fail. No sorry no apology. They then quickly threw together a main of... More

Went there on a recommendation. Place was busy we were seated menus given. After a bit of a wait we placed our order. Wines were great and starters spot on and then we waited after about an hour the waitress asked if we wanted coffee. I reminded her we're still waiting for mains well she had totally forgotten our order.... More

A few weeks ago a friend and ate at Tsindos restaurant, I had eaten there before and found it be be good. We were sharing dishes, entrees were good, for main course we ordered seafood and meat platters to share. On both platters there were single items, but all were able to be shared, except for the lamb chop, only... More

I discovered Tsindos from a hotel magazine a few years ago & recently dined here again with my date. Upon arrival we were shown to an upstairs table by possibly the owner where they were scheduled to play some live traditional Greek music. It wasn't long after ordering that the dishes started arriving. These were generously portioned & wow -... More

This is the second time I have visited this restaurant. The first time was later in the evening, with live traditional music, lots of people and very vibrant. This visit, we went for early dinner. We arrived when the restaurant was only half full, which meant the staff had plenty of time to stop and chat. It was a lovely... More

We were pleasantly surprised with the nice atmosphere and excellent service in this restaurant. The waiter was very friendly and courteous and the food was delicious. Our two teenage daughters are still talking about how they loved the food there. Our orders were served very quickly and we enjoyed the entrees of mixed dips, grilled pita bread, haloumi and fried... We found this restaurant on TA and nearly didn't get a table as a walk-up because they were so busy. However, the manager found a table outside and helped us wait until we could move in doors. The food is traditional Greek and wonderfully prepared and served. We started with the mixed dips and my 10 year old fell in... More
