We went flower drum restaurant tonight and found out that they were booked out tonight. we asked them to recommend a restaurant to us. They recommend the Tea Room to us. We were not disappointed. Great wine list . Beautiful food - no msg.

Situated in a little square, just off Little Bourke Street, TeaHouse offers classic Chinese fare, in a classically formal Chinese style decor. Don't expect anything "cool" or "fusion" as per the latest trends. Rather, it is a calm, hushed space away from the bustle of the busy street. Very clean, with attentive (but not overly so, just perfect) staff. We... More

Had a large family gathering. Requested one round table, and pre-ordered from the menu. All our requests were catered for. The premises are well kept. The staff professional and helpful. The meal was beyond expectations. A fabulous spread. Very good wine list. I would happily return.

This is a very hard restaurant to find. Cohen Place does not come up on a Sat Nav and for 45 minutes we hunted being led up the garden path by ours. Finally we phoned them and they guided us to it. The restaurant is just off Little Burke St in China Town and you can see it from the... More

My daughter and I on a recent girls weekend away, needed a good meal, quick service without being rushed. Daughter chose San Choy Bow (chicken) which she declared the best she'd ever had. Not your average china town offering. This place is classy, up market &definitely special occasion, but well worth searching out in its back alley location.

Flower Drum was my first choice but no room so they recommended Tea House - would never have found it otherwise. Staff very attentive and food delightful - recommend Mongolian Lamb. Other diners looked as appreciative as I was.

Have been coming to Melbourne for years but this was the first time (due to change of hotel) the Concierge recommended this particular restaurant. Am I glad we went as it turned out to be one of the best Chinese meals that we have partaken in and that too for being vegetarians it was real surprise. We will definitely be... More

We booked the restaurant after reading great reviews on Tripadvisor. They were not wrong. The service was attentive from the minute we walked in and Peter our waiter looked after us wonderfully. The ambience was lovely. The food - absolutely delicious. It definitely will not be our last visit. Look forward to going back again.
