The Morton bugs and seared tuna was average. The bug or slipper lobster was mealy, not fim, or succulent. Tuna was also not firm and had average taste. We expected more from a resturant of this caliber. Service was very good. Too bad the food did not match

We visited Box on Collins over the Christmas period as we were a captive audience with not much else open within walking distance of the Westin in the cbd. The service was excellent and the manager was lovely enough to suggest a menu option for our 7 year old which was the good old favorite of fish and chips. We... More

Overall the food was good and the service very good. It was good to be welcomed to a restaurant and expertly served. With it all perfectly timed before an evening at the theatre. Probably just on the expensive side. Three of our party of four shared the whitebait and all agreed we had eaten better. Just not enough flavour. For... More

We were staying next door at the Westin and were told this was a good option for our last dinner in Australia with our children (due to storm clouds arriving). Whilst the interior does not exude the best ambience the service and food was fantastic. Great relaxed service and the crayfish was amazing. Thanks for a good last supper!

Food, service and atmosphere was excellent for our late lunch stop here...definitely recommend the spaghetti marinara - it was delicious, light and worth the price. Cocktails were great too, try the see-c before your meal to get you in the mood.

Box on Collins is a fantastic seafood restaurant and the ideal place to grab a bite to eat before a show at The Regent. Recommendations: Oysters Bugs I wish we lived around the corner.

Was there on 31st Oct with a girlfriend - food is delicious but value for money I question this. No views. Comfortable Seating and art work is gorgeous. We had a fantastic waitress who was attentive and met all our needs - her boss was a bit strong in trying to sell us more wine when we'd had enough. Loved... More

Wandered by this place on a Friday evening and it was quite early, 5 PM but they said they would seat us inside. Great service, great food and since no one was there yet, able to have a conversation without shouting over others. The baramundi was perfectly cooked, fresh and absolutely delicious. For a starter we had the olives which... More
