Look, High Tea is really more about the whole experience than the food so I'll say it was an enjoyable experience. The service was good & the room looked lovely. The food was a mixed bag. Sandwiches were OK, nothing special. The cakes were mostly rather bland with 2 nice ones amongst them. The scones were beautiful but the cream... More

We had a lovely dinner at 111 Spring Street, the restaurant in The Hotel Windsor. 111 is a very elegant restaurant with exemplary service. I had an entrée of scallops & smoked eel and my partner had pumpkin tart. Both entrees were beautifully presented and delicious. Mains were salmon and lamb - again both were scrumptious. Neither of us could... More

We redeemed some of our Red Balloon gift voucher for the Romantic 3 course dinner for two. The meal also included a bottle of red, white or sparkling. We thoroughly enjoyed our three courses and were quite surprised to navigate the set menu for gluten free options without having mentioned when making the reservation. We selected sparkling and bought a... More

My husband and I were given a Red Balloon voucher for breakfast at The Windsor Melbourne. We booked for Sunday 19th January. On arrival the staff were all lovely and very attentive. Could not fault anything. Food was beautiful. We would have been happy with just the continental breakfast, but we were told that the hot breakfast was also included.... More

The Windsor skimps on the food that they offer for their Continental Breakfast, with no hot bacon or potatoes, unlike what I had in Europe two months previously. There is far better value being offered in the Laneways of Melbourne, with a far greater range and more lively atmosphere.

I appreciate you taking the time to write about your breakfast at the Windsor. I do apologise for not meeting your expectation. Our continental buffet offers breads, pastries, cold meats, salmon, cheese, fruit selection and more. Hot food items are from our well appointed a la carte menu which are cooked to order. I hope next time you get the... More

We were staying in-house, and decided to dine here as it was handy, looked nice, and our deal entitled us to a 20% discount! We were not disappointed. The food was excellent - my caramelised pumpkin tart for entree was simply stunning. My only disappointment was that my lamb for main was accompanied by supposed yoghurt, but which tasted more... We didn't stay here but did eat in the restaurant. The food was excellent, and the wine list very impressive. Highly recommend the beef fillet- really melt in the mouth. The kitchen closes at 9.30, which meant the meal was a little rushed, but would definitely return with more time to spare.

We booked for dinner on a Saturday night to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary and were anticipating a wonderful night.
