First night in melbourne, location great, food poor, service poor. Would not go again. It left an awful taste in the mouth that was still there the next day.
Boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary on the suggestion of a friend. We had shisha (the smell of the place is incredible! And so sweet!), and the soup of the day (red lentil soup), and calamari. The soup was not over salty (as is a problem for most restaurants and pubs), but just right. And they leave you... More
We didn't get the best service the first few times we came here but the more and more we came the more and more we like the place. The staff know's us by name and are so friendly. The food is great and the hookah is even better!
Booked Friday evening dinner - perfect location on the water. As this was the first time for Turkish cuisine we decided to have the traditional Turkish banquet @ $45.00 a head. We were so very disappointed - food was extremely bland & lacked any flavour - meat tasted as though is was boiled - horrible. Service was "just" - staff... More
We went on saturday night. The atmosphere is good. perfect spot on the water. The staff are slow and seamed like it was a effort to be at work. After we were seated it took 20 min to get service, then another 10 min to get our drinks. Our entrée came out with our main a good 1 hour after... More
After finishing watching a soccer game at etihad, we wandered down to docklands to see if anything was open at 1030pm for dinner. Starving, we spotted Achelya and grabbed a table. The vibe was buzzing and people everywhere. sheesha pipes were a big hit. We ordered 2 mixed grill plates and some wine for the table. The wine took half... More
We ate here after a football game at etihad stadium. We were looking forward to some scrumptious tasty Turkish food as we love this cuisine. Ordered kavurma and another kebab specialty(can't remember name) to share. It was bland and completely lacked flavour and spice. When I mentioned this, the guy just shrugged as if to say " oh well". Never... More
We we're trying to be diverse while vacationing in Melbourne and having never eaten Turkish we gave this place a try. The food was excellent, but not as "exotic" as we expected given our thoughts on middle eastern and mediterranean. Both the dishes we had were chicken, can't remember the names, but one I think said it was like stir... More
We went for my mums 50th Birthday party. A few interesting things happened: Wrong cake brought to my mum My fancy candles put on someone elses cake (no apology) Live bugs in salad Not enough chairs for the 23 people, very cramped seating. The table next to us had too many seats, so I wonder if they got that confused... More
We rocked up without booking, the place was very busy already with a hens night by the looks of it. The manager or owner not sure which really put some effort in to get us a table, there were 8 of us. Not only that but we had a person allergic to nuts and a vego. He said don't worry... More
