Destination breakfast restaurant

I recommend that you make the effort to jump on a tram and go to this cafe which is housed in an old train station on the now route 96 tram. The station is at Middle Park station and is the main gate for the Mebourne Grand Prix. It's actually on the fringe of Albert Park so you can walk... read more

This is one brunch place you have to visit while in Melbourne. To get there, take Tram 96 from the City (towards St Kilda), and stop at Tram stop no 130. Go for their signature corn cakes with bacon and sour cream. Very yummy and beautifully stacked.

Mart is the old Middle Park train station. The train is gone and now replaced by a light rail (tram) service. I'm guessing that 'mart' = 'tram' backwards. The building is largely in it's original form with a closed in veranda at the back and tables on the old railway platform. The trams pass by regularly but not in an... More

Always consistent, always a friendly welcome, always fantastic food. Love it here. Great location. And even better now it's not just cash only

Service is so,so slow. Awful non transparent system of table waiting. . We stood outside for 50 mins for table for four. Then a good 40 mins for meals to be delivered. All our food was ordinary ..the expresso macchiatos we couldn't drink..too bitter.

Very unique character to the place for the way it is made, nestled warmly by the tram line adjacent to the tram stop. Loved the old worldly charm to it. But the food was very very average and more so the service was extra slow , staff seemed looney, toilets were extremely dirty, food arrived after a frustrating lot of... More

It has always been lovely and is a nice comfortable favourite to return to. It is quaint and unique in that it's one of the original train station houses. It looks out onto Albert Park from the rear and opens onto the tram platform at the front. Great juices and brekkie food.

This restaurant is quite far from the city centre, but it is worth visiting. I went there for breakfast. I ordered smoke salmon and egg Benedict. It was delicious. The restaurant was quite busy, but the atmosphere was lovely.

A very novel idea to turn an old stationmaster's cottage into a cafe on the tram line, and it sure makes finding the place so much easier when all,you have to do is get off the tram and walk across the tracks! I came here twice in the week I was here. I had their famous zucchini fritters which were... More

This place is unexpectedly beautiful. It's an old stationmaster's building converted into a cafe. It is currently a tram stop so you won't miss it when you're taking public transport. I had mart eggs #5. It's full of flavor and quite filling. Just be mindful that egg dishes starts from $18 up. A great place to pay a visit if... More
