Great Corn Fritters

I love this place. It's a tram stop that has been converted to a cafe. Great location and service. I had the Corn Fritters with Bacon, Tomato Relish and Sour Cream, they are delicious! My friend had poached eggs and rosemary polenta which she loved.

Mart 130 (130 is the light rail stop number for Middle Park) has been operating successfully for over 10 years and is across the road from Armstrong St shopping village. There is indoor dining and two outdoor dining areas on the railway platform and to the rear overlooking Albert Park Reserve. The eastern side is shady in Summer. While on... More

A heritage Station and Station Master's Office converted to a cute restaurant. A quirky shabby-chic decor, good coffee and a really interesting menu. Friendly and helpful service and simply a fun place to visit especially with friends. Easy to find in Middle Park. This little gem is hidden away but very popular. We visit every time we are in Melbourne... More

On advice from other tripers, we tried out Mart130. Certainly lived up to all the positive reviews. Great breakfast and best Bircher muesli I have ever had. Service was friendly and attentive. Will be back.

Funky little restaurant on the edge of Albert Park, across from the trendy suburb of MIddle Park only minutes from the beach. Lot's of people walking their dog's. The cosy little nook on the outside balcony is the best place to sit. Weekends can get busy and you may need to wait, though I have never had to wait more... More

Food is always great. Staff are friendly. Get in early on a weekend or you'll have to wait. My hubby drinks coffee but he's not the one doing this review! Always sit in outside area.

I recommend that you make the effort to jump on a tram and go to this cafe which is housed in an old train station on the now route 96 tram. The station is at Middle Park station and is the main gate for the Mebourne Grand Prix. It's actually on the fringe of Albert Park so you can walk... More

This is one brunch place you have to visit while in Melbourne. To get there, take Tram 96 from the City (towards St Kilda), and stop at Tram stop no 130. Go for their signature corn cakes with bacon and sour cream. Very yummy and beautifully stacked.

Mart is the old Middle Park train station. The train is gone and now replaced by a light rail (tram) service. I'm guessing that 'mart' = 'tram' backwards. The building is largely in it's original form with a closed in veranda at the back and tables on the old railway platform. The trams pass by regularly but not in an... More
