Sweet Cafe

Great little Cafe in Coventry street, seats indoors and some outside, not big but there are 2 internal sections of tables. Good breakfast menu but we had early lunch with haloumi salad, blt focacia, good coffees, cold drinks and O price wise for the area. So close the the Sth Melb market and... read more

Returned to Cafe Sweethearts after a couple of years absence. First thing to notice was that the decor had been upgraded!. it was as busy as ever, and as noisy as ever, but this didn't detract from the great food and excellent service. They were full and it took only 15 minutes for our food to arrive! The pity was... More

My partner and I are interstate visitors and this was a great find. Lunch had lots of good options, I got the halloumi salad which was tasty! My friend got the risotto which I wish I got and my partner got the barramundi. All dishes we presented well and tasty! The service was fantastic, well worth a visit!

Went to Cafe Sweethearts on Mothers Day for lunch with my family. The service was really good considering how busy they were that day and we had not made a reservation. My family is a big fan of day breakfasts and we absolutely not disappointed! The smashed avocado was beautiful, the eggs cooked perfectly, and the chorizo had the perfect... More

This has been an icon in Coventry Street for decades and the quality is still there. Noted for its eggs, they were perfectly poached in my eggs benedict, accompanied by a very tasty hollandaise sauce. It's noisy and patronised by lots of young families so not the best spot for a quiet weekend brunch but very good nonetheless!

We started by popping in for a takeaway by chance because we managed to find a parking spot. Lucky us! We were so impressed we came back for lunch. We were so impressed with the quality and value for money of lunch we came back for breakfast. We live 20 mins drive away with plenty of great cafes locally, but... More

We popped in here for breakfast on a Thursday morning and we’re so pleased we did. Friendly service, a choice of inside or outside tables, good coffee and great food - my wife’s avocado and mushrooms on toast (she doesn’t like eggs) and my pancakes really hit the spot. This one’s a keeper!

The staff/workers are really nice and kind. It's a nice little cafe for eating brekky and I defenitely recommend it for anyone wanting to eat breakfast at Melbourne. The food tastes amazing as well as the sweets and the coffee. The presentation is also great and I would certainly come back.

Small little cafe that stands out in a stream of competitors around Coventry Street. Served the best preserves with the toast that I've tasted all year. Chunky, glaces orange in the orange marmalade. Well done guys!
